“Well, I had to make sure Letha wasn’t going to be tossed to wolves like I was, didn’t I?” Trix laughed weakly, “I don’t know where I’d have ended up after everything if you weren’t here.”

“I don’t like to think about that,” roman admitted as he pulled her against him and rested his head on top of hers. “What I do know is that you’re stuck with me now. And I’m never going to let a bad thing happen to you again.”

“Maybe not with Letha, but I was a whole other mess and we both know it.” Trix admitted with a shrug. “It did turn out pretty great though, so I can’t complain.”

“You’re biased about the way you were, but I was just as terrible as you were if not having my own issues. I’m just happy that you decided to take a risk with me.”

“You are also the most biased person toward that.”

“I’m willing to own it but really I can’t blame myself for being biased when it comes to you and Letha”

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been, Roman. You shouldn’t worry about that.”

“I do though but that’s because I think you deserve the world.”

“I’m not sure that it counts as being stuck if it was my choice, too. But I appreciate the sentiment.”

“I am glad that it is your choice to be here. I never want you to be miserable.”

“I know that. Sometimes, I just worry it’ll disappear. Everything used to. But I’m working on it.”

“I know you’re working on it and as long as I live I swear to you that I’m going to do all that I can to prove I’m not going anywhere. You’re stuck with me for the rest of our lives.”

“You’re here and you love her. That’s what matters. I’d have given anything to have that.”

“I know it doesn’t change your past but you do have two people who love you now.”

“Yeah, probably.” Trix agreed with a laugh, “we’ll end up having a daughter our age, and have no idea what to do.”

“I still don’t know what to do with her as it is. I’m just trying to do my best by her.”

“I’d love another year of that, but we might have to take that up with her.”

“I highly doubt that she’s going to give us another year. We’re going to be lucky if she doesn’t go from two to twenty two.”

“I think if she stayed little forever, eventually it would border on tragic. But it would be nice if time would slow down.” 

“Okay maybe just give me another year with her being this tiny.”

“I grew up with wolves, so I never heard any of that. But she’s growing like a damn weed.” Trix admitted with a quiet laugh. “I don’t know how we stop it.”

“I don’t think that we can sadly. I don’t like it,” He admitted heavily, “She was suppose to stay little forever.”

Trix listened to him silently, trying not to interrupt him. “You’ve really thought that through, haven’t you?”

“Yeah I really have,” Roman admitted taking a deep breath, “It’s my dream come true but I understand if it’s not what you want someday.”

“I just…didn’t know that was something you thought about.”

“I mean I’d be more than happy to have a gorgeous little red head running around the house after her big sister. A house full of women that I love? It sounds like my heaven,” Roman admitted wrapping his arms around her body.
