Excuse my brief rambling below the cut. But maybe I’ll elaborate further on another day. I’m very intrigued by Roguefort’s character!!
I think, to me (at least), they battle a lot with their identity. Fighting with their family’s grand identity — including its fall from grace. It’s likely caused a rift in how they see themself. Especially considering the path they took in the ashes of their family’s honor.
Are they who they display themself to be? A beautiful, heart-stealing thief? Or are they beyond their identity? And do they have anything to show for it in the end?
They have to manage how the public sees them: as some gorgeous enigma. Nobody truly understands them except for ONE cookie. One cookie managed to understand them to a certain degree — a very HIGH degree. But that’s a topic for another day…
There’s a lot more I’d love to delve into but that’d be pages long.
I personally think it’s a fascinating topic and I really want to explore it more in a future fanfiction. If I ever get the chance to LOL.
