This is how I spend my 30-45 minutes break from working on my webcomic… drawing as much Bughead as I can now that RIVERDALE is on hiatus…

She was a Career. Daughter of renowned assassin Hal Cooper, refined by the fire of her mother’s brutal training. She was born for this.

So on the morning of her 17th birthday, the day of the Reaping, she doesn’t even wait for Weatherbee to draw her name out. Her hand shoots straight up. “I volunteer as tribute.”

It’s all very straightforward. She trains. She fights. She slashes at the air while imagining it to be her mother’s face.

Then she hears his name.

Jughead Jones, District 7. A strange name to come out of the region of forestry and lumber.

Besides her, he was the only other volunteer.

His sister’s name had been called and he rushed forward, offering himself instead, saving her from a bloody fate.

She finds him bizarre. He’s not afraid like the others. And he calls her a name she’s not familiar with, a name he says he’s read in old books.

Every morning at training, without fail.
