how do i explain to my boss that i’m finding it hard to concentrate today because two ex boyband members chose to be publicly seen together for the first time in a decade

I'm going to miss him forever. I'm not exaggerating when i say there probably hasn't been a day when i didn't think about the boys in some capacity for years and now whenever i do there's just going to be this empty space. and i know that with time it'll get better, the pain will lessen and it will be filled with memories and love, so it's not hopeless. but fuck, that space shouldn't be there. none of this should be happening.
