“Oh of course not.” But she could hardly be serious about it, a faint laugh filtered from her lips as she leaned back on her heel, giving him a sharp once-over. “She’s probably in class, realistically, but she’s around here somewhere.” Abruptly, she started in the direction of the dorms, expecting Nick to follow. “Should be happy to see you, I guess?” Raven could hardly imagine what it would have been like coming to school without Skye, but that was… different. 

“You’ve always been a little strange..” he mumbled and shook his head. “Right. Class. I’ll find her later.” he sighed. “I mean, I hope so. I haven’t seem her in — I don’t even know how long. Do miss her, though. Oh well.” Nick quickly started walking along when he realized she had a head start on him. “So how’s school been treating you?”

Her lips quirked, a bit surprised by the suddenness of his hug, but not entirely opposed. Raven snorted. “Oh please, judging’s half the fun.” She pulled back, keeping him at arm’s length and very consciously repressing the urge to snatch his wallet. It would be so easy… “C’mon, Rogers, let’s get you to the dorms. Maybe we’ll even run into your sibling along the way.” 

“Yeah, whatever.” he chuckled and looked at her. “Yes, the dorms would be great. Wouldn’t want to lose any of this stuff, now do we? My sibling! Ah. I haven’t seen them in a while. Can’t wait for our reunion. I think.”

Raven turned, eyebrows arched in an expression that could only be described as amusement. “Y’forget my name, pekný?” Her fingers rose to brush a small strand of hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear as she started in towards him once again. “I wasn’t gone that long–and neither were you.” 

Nick’s eyebrows shot up and he laughed. “I’m so sorry, Raven! Oh my god!” he said and hugged her quickly. “You’re right. Listen, it’s been a long flight and frankly I’m really tired, so don’t judge me.”
