Noah may have been too quick in all of her questions, but she was curious! Rocky had gone completely AWOL and while she had gotten small tidbits on info from Brock, she wanted to get it all from the source himself especially since backpacking across South America wasn’t what Noah ever expected Rocky to do post-graduation. “Wasn’t it amazing?” Noah asked with glee. It was one of her favorite hot spots although she was sure one day the gluten would come back to bite her in the ass. “Agreed,” while Noah enjoyed coming home to visit her mom and old friends, there was nothing pulling her back to Ohio other than that. Even though she hadn’t gone around the world in 80 days, living in New York was enough to confirm that Ohio was not peak living and it baffled her that her parents had decided to start a family there. Living in Los Angeles or New Haven would have been so much cooler. “I hope so too, but she’s nice, right? I won’t have to kick her ass or anything?” She asked, knowing fully well that she wasn’t capable of kicking anyone’s ass. “Columbia’s alright,” Noah did enjoy her college, but it was hard realizing that she wasn’t the smartest in the room anymore and on some days, that was totally fine because she knew there were far more intelligent people, but when she had excelled at McKinley she had definitely grown quite the ego when it came to academics. “Ruby and I study a lot and that’s basically the best part of it all, but it’s exactly how you’d expect it.”

When Noah threatened to kick Julianna’s ass, Rocky snorted and stared at her in disbelief. “You couldn’t take her,” he told her bluntly, shaking his head as a quick laugh escaped him, “but no. She’s the shit. Super nice. You'd all love her.” Rocky was being short about his relationship mostly because it was stressful to think about at this point time. They hadn’t made plans to see each other again yet, so everything felt very unstable and up in the air. He took a sip of his drink to get his mind off it. Hearing Noah talk about college honestly...made him feel pretty good about his decision to defer. “You’re not selling me the experience,” Rocky teased with a shake of his head. She’d been at college for a full year and the best part about it was studying with fucking Ruby Zizes? That...sucked. “Do you party? Everyone says smart chicks party the hardest or whatever,” he told her with a disinterested shrug, “or is everyone just a pretentious asshole?” 

groaning, ivy rolled her eyes as rocky went for a weirdo walk or whatever. she was most definitely not watching his stuff. turning her back with a hmph! she didn’t acknowledge his existence until he made a comment about lj and her sister. “ew no, did you like get dumber since we graduated or something?” she asked shaking her head. “they literally broke up when we were still in school, don’t you read the muckraker, or like, keep tabs on people’s instagrams?” the answer was likely a no, but ivy couldn’t imagine her life without two of her favorite hobbies. getting up from her own booth, ivy shamelessly slid into rocky’s. if he was looking for a conversation, ivy wasn’t going to get a crick in her neck just to indluge him, “so are you like, in lima for good?”

Rocky rolled his eyes and refused to acknowledge her question about his intelligence by answering it. As she explained whatever the fuck happened with Eli and LJ though, he looked at her like she was the dumb one. “Wait, what the fuck? They’re not together?” then what the fuck brown haired chick was LJ dating then? Ultimately it didn’t matter. Rocky hadn’t paid much attention to his peers in high school and that habit of not caring was definitely only amplified by not being in the country and briefly deleting his instagram. When Ivy got up and slid into Rocky’s booth, he pinched the bridge of his nose and almost immediately regretted engaging her in the first place. At her question, he cleared his throat slightly and clicked his tongue. “I’m not sure,” he admitted, glancing down at his laptop for a moment before closing it, “my dad wants me to stick around, but my girlfriend is in Spain. Then there’s college.” He rolled his eyes a bit as his shoulder slumped, “it’s all up in the air.” Rocky was beyond tired of talking about himself after the weekend, so he was happy to give Ivy the thing she loved so much: the spotlight. “You’re in...” he really had to think about it, “New York? Still bossing around Schuester and doing all that glee club shit?” 

beyond being the guy who took her v-card freshman year and her co-anchor on the titan times, rocky remington was pretty much nobody to ivy st.james. while she was definitely interested in why he fell off the face of the earth, she wasn’t interested enough to notice that he had been sitting near her in the lima bean while she took a work call with her agent. it was in relation to some upcoming audition she’d have to fly out to LA for that she was hellbent on missing for  julien’s showcase. hungover, and irritated, ivy groaned into the phone, “casey i literally told you like, a trillion times, i’m not making a mistake and you seriously need to stop pushing this–” feeling a tap on her shoulder, she felt relieved to have an excuse to hang up. “gotta go!” she said, then ended the call. turning around, she was met face to face with rocky. huh. “i’m kinda surprise the yelling didn’t totally tip you off, but okay.” rolling her shoulders, she answered back, “duh! of course i was there. why else would i be in lima?” ivy rolled her eyes as if it were obvious. “i was honestly convinced you weren’t gonna be there though. like, aren’t you supposed to be off in argentina becoming a farmer or whatever? i read that on JBIJ’s blog.”

Rocky wasn’t sure if Ivy’s comment about her yelling was supposed to get him to ask questions or something, but he truly, wholeheartedly didn’t care, so he just kind of shrugged at her and vaguely shook his head. “Yeah, didn’t notice,” he reiterated, a disinterested smirk tugging at the corners of his lips as he stared at Ivy. Again, at her question, he shrugged. How the fuck was he supposed to know why she would or wouldn’t be in Lima? As she turned the conversation to him, Rocky chuckled dryly and cleared his throat. “I wasn’t farming,” so Ivy had gotten somehow stupider since high school, “I was backpacking.” He sighed and looked down at his laptop, “anyway...can you watch my shit?” He didn’t really give her a chance to answer before he gave her a pat on the back in lieu of a ‘thank you,’ and excused himself. After dicking around outside of the Lima Bean and stretching for a few minutes, he settled back into his seat and tapped Ivy’s shoulder again. “Thanks,” he said, but just as the words came out of his mouth, he caught a glimpse of LJ walking outside of the Lima Bean which meant she was probably going home to her apartment with...Sterling. Instantly, Rocky clenched his jaw and decided to embrace the distraction that was Ivy St. James. “Your sister still fucking that chick or what?” Rocky asked, gripping the back of Ivy’s chair and turning it slightly so she was kind of facing him, but more importantly, so she could see LJ outside the window.

After graduating high school, Rocky Remington ditched his college plans and took a gap year to travel. It wasn’t what his father, the principal of McKinley High and Quinn Fabray’s new husband, wanted for him, but it was his choice and for the first time? He did what he wanted to. Rocky was enjoying backpacking around South America and the only reason why he was back in Lima at all was because of his father’s wedding. The weekend had been full of reunions and small talk and celebrations of all kinds. Come Sunday, Rocky was hung over and just exhausted. The jet lag was finally catching up to him and, more pressingly than that, the stress of not knowing his next move was starting to settle in. Was he going to go back to South America? Was he going to go somewhere else? Was he going to stay in Lima? Hit up Northwestern about his deferment and actually go to college? He had no clue. So, with his laptop cracked open and a cold brew in hand, Rocky was posted up at the Lima Bean trying to plan out the next few months of his life. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been sitting for, but he was starting to feel frustrated. He needed to take a walk. With an exasperated sigh, Rocky tapped the person’s shoulder sitting behind him and asked, “excuse me, do you mind watching my stuff for a second?” It was only then that he realized who it was. “Oh shit,” he said, this time more casual, “didn’t realize it was you.” And then, scratching his head, “did I see you at the wedding this weekend?”

“stop!” sterling exclaimed as she doubled over in pain, her arms reaching out to put an end to rocky’s incessant tickling. “rem,” she muttered through laughter.  “please,”  if all else failed, sterling hoped the wide eyes and pink pout would stop his foolish behavior. when rocky’s fingers stilled and sterling’s laughter subsided, she rolled over on his bed so she was finally facing him. “you’re so fucking stupid,” she declared, though the smile on her face didn’t quite match the annoyance in her tone. the remington household had always been a second home to sterling, so it was a surprise to literally no one that she made herself as comfortable as possible from the second she walked in the door. “so,” she began, her previous smile twisting into a small smirk. “how lucky do you feel knowing you’re in the presence of lima’s most eligible bachelorette?”

All it had taken was one stupid comment about Rocky being a crappy Valentine to get him poking and prodding Sterling’s rib cage with his fingers. “Say you’re sorry,” he demanded in between his laughter as he knelt over her on his bed and continued to mercilessly tickle her. When he eventually got her to ‘apologize,’ he finally pulled his hands back and flopped down beside her. “Maybe,” he said as his laughter subsided and he glanced over at her with his hands locked behind his head, “but you’re fucking stupider.” The way Sterling smirked up at him and dropped her question had Rocky rolling his eyes dramatically. “Not this shit again,” he teased, glaring at her playfully, “your head’s getting too big.” But then his features softened and he shrugged as he pondered it. “Most eligible bachelorette, huh...” he drawled, sinking further into his pillows as he glanced at her from the corners of his eyes, “and still no fucking word on who you want to take to prom.” He quirked a brow and turned to look at her for real. “That’s a real shame,” he taunted, shrugging as he let out a dramatic sigh.

pretty much every teen in lima knew tommy ryerson was a fucking weirdo, but after sitting in rocky remington’s driveway, and weighing the pros and cons of asking frankie or eli, they decided that tommy ryerson was the best route to get some weed for the night. still halted in the remington driveway, austin loudly protested, “i don’t wanna fucking message him dude, he’s a creep! i don’t want him to have my number, or my snapchat, or my instagram. fuck that. do you think i wanna end up on dateline? hell no. you can do it. if you went missing, your grandpa would probably get like…the national guard.” he said firmly, then stubbornly slumped back in his seat, arms folded. then a final ultimatum “you do it or we’re gonna have to get up to our shit sober.” @rockyremington​

"Nelson, are you being fucking serious right now?” Rocky deadpanned, turning his body in the passenger’s seat of Austin’s car to stare at his friend who, more often than not, acted like some big wig hot shot. “What do you think he’s gonna do, man? No offense, but I’m pretty sure you’re not his fucking type,” that was purely an assumption. Rocky didn’t know if Tommy was gay or not. He’d heard about his dad and stuff, but that guy was old as balls now. What was there to be scared of? At the mention of his grandpa, Rocky clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. That was a topic he definitely didn’t want to get into—especially not with Austin. That just wasn’t the nature of their relationship. “Fine,” Rocky said as he pulled out his phone and muttered, “fucking pussy.” He pulled up Instagram and quickly found Tommy through Frankie Puckerman’s page. He quickly shot him a message and then showed it to Austin. “Happy, you fucking baby?” he asked, now twisting the knife, “drive then, let’s fucking go.” 

graham and rocky were sat across from each other in five guys, eating like complete barbarians. they knew each other well enough that it wasn’t weird. they didn’t need to talk a ton to get each other, which made hangouts like this a lot less draining for graham. he slurped his dr. pepper to wash down all of the lard he just consumed…and afterwards he looked up to his friend across the table. he poked at his fries on the table. “are you busy this weekend?” he questioned. “my dads want my help putting together some new furniture. sounds like a drag to be honest…but if you came it would be cool. we could play zombies on COD after or something.” he said in a pretty disinterested tone. @rockyremington

During wrestling season, Rocky was pretty strict with himself—with what he ate, when he slept, his physical activity. He was nothing if not disciplined and it showed in his stats. However, now that the season was over, he was allowed to let loose. This was how he found himself across from Graham at a Five Guys scarfing down a burger and fries. “Nah,” he said as he sipped his soda through a straw and shrugged, “I’m free, I can stop by.” There was pretty much nothing Rocky wouldn’t do for the Sterling-Duvals. They were like family to him and these days, that meant more to him than he could articulate. “You gotta stop playing video games, man,” Rocky teased as he popped another fry into his mouth “shit is gonna rot your brain.” He let out a sigh as he leaned back in his chair and stretched, habitually patting his now full stomach as he stared at his friend from across the table. “We should get stoned though,” he suggested with a shrug, “also I have a question.” He paused as he took a bite of his burger. “You thought about prom yet?”
