Welcome to MythMakers, where a bunch of us nerdy-ass creative writers get together and play Dungeons & Dragons. We’re a brand new tabletop-inspired fantasy game set in the world brought to you by Critical Role. No word count. Mechanics optional. No canons. Takes place between the aired campaigns. Beginner friendly - no prior D&D or CR knowledge necessary.

Are you getting your character sheets ready?

Races: any from the core, Volo, or Unearthed Arcana lists; homebrew races allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Classes: any of the core classes, including Blood Hunter. While we aren’t allowing homebrew for these, subclass variants are open. So make that monk of the Cobalt Soul, that gunslinger testing out experimental gunnery, or that bard from the college of the maestro~

Face Claims: optional! We understand not everyone wants to pick out a real face, so we’re opening up claims to cosplay aesthetics, customized video game characters, and art pieces, but barring animation.

Setting: the world of Exandria, of course! TMMC’s timeline will take place between the two campaigns - so 10 years after the end of Vox Machina’s story and 10 years prior to the beginning of the Mighty Nein’s, so roughly 825 post-Divergence.

Canon Characters?: Not as playable characters. None of the main cast will be referenced, but important NPCs known to be alive post-Vox Machina era, such as King Dwendal, may be referenced in documentation and RP.

You stand before immense doors of stone, seemingly obsidian, dark and glittering in the glow of everburning torches that flank them. Though gargantuan, you push them open with ease - they have a strange weightless to them that’s curious - but before you can put much thought into it, your attention is drawn to the biggest library you’ve ever seen.

The room extends farther than your eyes can even see, its walls covered from floor to ceiling with rows and rows of shelves, some divided into blocky cubbies, others enclosed in glass, but all accompanied by ornately decorated dark wooden ladders. Scrolls are rolled and tucked into cubicles, stacked in perfect symmetry. Tomes of various age, color, and wear line up neatly like buildings of a skyline. Large tables, small study carrels, wooden benches, covered chairs, and enchanted lanterns are smattered about, some supplied with inkwells and parchment, others with unidentifiable decor.
