Rocket jams.

"Well, you see I found him on the cor-"

"God dammit! I told you to stop being home strays!"

"But he's cute."

"Cute my ass."

"Awe come on Bakugou," Uraraka started as she picked up the cat. "Don't be so cold. How could you hate this face?"

"Very easily," Bakugou said bluntly. "Besides, are you even sure it's actually a cat? Like I know it looks like one..sort of. But my gut is telling me it crawled out of the seventh ring of hell."

"Oh shut up!" Uraraka snapped. "I don't care what you think, I think he's cute and we're keeping him."

"Like hell we are!"

"Really now, give me one good reason why we can't." Uraraka challenged, walking up to Bakugou as she held his gaze. "And it can't be that you think he's ugly."

Taking a deep breath, He glanced back and forth between his slightly shorter girlfriend and the demon incarnate she held in her hands.

"Exactly, now if you done throwing a fit." Uraraka said. "Come help me wash him up a bit."

"Do whatever you want," Bakugou replied with the click of his tongue. "But I'm not interacting with that thing anymore than necessary."

“Jeez Katsuki, I swear you can be such a baby sometimes.” She rolled her eyes before heading into the bathroom. “At least bring me a damp cloth to wipe him up.”

Bakugou’s face flushed red and the sudden insult. Uraraka had never been one to hold back what she was thinking, she was brutally honest so Bakugou knew if she said something about his behavior it was probably true.

“Fine,” Bakugou grumbles trudging into kitchen for one of the small washcloths they kept in the drawers by the sink.

Walking back he found Uraraka sitting on their bed, combing the cat’s long fur with a small comb. "Here."

"Thanks."

Leaning against the threshold, he watched as she wiped over the cats face and paws gently. Her emotions not easily hidden on her face. As it was evident through in the crease in her brow and the down-curve of her lips that she was upset.

God dammit.

"Hey," He called out to her.

"What do you want?"

"I-" Bakugou stopped short. A sigh escaping him; acting as a signal, not for his resolve before the situation and the level of tension that had now peaked in the room. “I’m sorry.”

“What?”

“I’m sorry.” Bakugou repeated.

“I can’t hear you, speak louder Katsuki.”

Holding his hands up to his mouth, Bakugou spoke loudly through them. “I said I’m sorry!”

As she glanced up their glances met and they held a silent conversation. Finally looking away, Uraraka returned to cleaning up the car, “I don’t understand why you’re so opposed to keeping him.”

“Yeah well I don’t know why - out of all the strays you’ve brought him in the year we’ve lived together,” Bakugou started. “That you’re so adamant about keeping the ugliest one.”

“He’s not ugly.” She defended.

“Don’t lie to yourself.”

“I’m not!” She said, her giggle softening the atmosphere of the room and causing a soft smile to sneak onto Bakugou’s lips. “I’m serious, just watch. In a few weeks you’ll be gushing over him.”

“Yeah, no.”

After motioning for Bakugou to sit next to her, she sat the cat in his arms. “There, see it’s not too bad.”

“I guess.” Bakugou said holding the cat up to face level.

“I’m gonna name him Pomu.”

“Pomu?” He repeated as he stared at the cat. Such a cute name for such an evil looking cat; though Bakugou opted to keep that to himself. “Why does he look so angry?”
