resilience is not sustainable we are not supposed to endure life we are supposed to live it

Life doesn’t end at 23. 30 isn’t old. Fetishising youth as the ultimate desirable characteristic in a person is actively harmful to both young and old people. Some of us lost our teenage years to abuse and recovery, and can only begin living when we’re at a different life stage.  Literally knock it off, the lot of you.

I just want to be surrounded by so much love in my life. And not just relationships. Love for my job, my home, the stars, the sunsets, the place I live where ever in the world that is. I want to experience love in all forms

accept that you aren’t special to some people and move on

thinking about that time i was sitting next to an older lady in my family and writing in my diary and she said, ‘how organised of you... i wish i’d kept a diary all this time,’ and i confessed that i keep mine very irregularly and fragmentedly... at some point in the conversation i joked, “it’s fun to have pretty handwriting, though,” and without blinking she said, “it’s also fun to be a pretty and clever girl, isn’t it? you and i would both know!” and i gaped at her and agreed tentatively... the memory makes me smile. i’m so used to thinking people will hate me if i express casual confidence that it’s really nice to know some people enjoy it and find fun and togetherness in it. me and my friends? pretty. clever. possessors of interesting handwriting styles
