âOne of my patientâs parents didnât want me to start an IV because she saidâand I quoteââI donât want my child to be pumped with chemicals.â Why even bring them to a hospital?â Matt ranted, rolling his eyes. âWhat are they going to do when their kid actually needs medication?â he huffed, running his hands through his hair. His day was stressful to say the least. He loved his job but the parents were insufferable sometimes. âAnyways, please tell me your day is going better than mine?â

âThatâs fear mateâ Robert pointed out as he sipped coffee from his paper cup, and threw it into the bin. âYouâre going to have to explain to them, that they can either give their consent and we can treat their child or if they dont consent, their kid will get very sick. I mean, you just have to explain it in black and white terms. Sometimes they get it that way.â He explained sighing softly. âPatient care is the worst part of the job--but vital.â He advised as he opened his sandwich and took a bite out of it. âMy day is going fabulously, Iâve had a mountain of gory surgeries and completed them successfully--my day is gonnaâ get bad though, cause Iâve been asked to go to paeds. Iâm not good with kids.â
