As can be seen from the name, 'Player' is Mafioso. He is connected to Forsaken and Dream Game, but appeared in Block Tales for...some reason.

So Mafioso still goes by 'Player' route, collecting swords. He can't use swords himself, but can banish evil voice from it. That's why Cruel King, Griever, Hatred and Calypso so far also travel with him.
