Dear Robin

Take a minute to look at this panel from chapter 117.

Here we see that Lizzy has left - climbed out the window apparently. My eyes, however, were drawn to something else.

In previous chapters, we have seen Lizzy sleep with this rabbit, or another just like it.

At the time, I thought her holding the plush rabbit was symbolic of her innocence and was a contrast to the swords pinning her to the floor. As I look at it now, I think that I was initially mistaken. If Bitter Rabbit is associated with Ciel, then this image clearly shows her protecting Ciel, which is what she had attempted to do in that arc.

First: WTF.

Second: Obviously, Sensei is throwing out a challenge to the cosplay community.

Third: I love that Sullivan made a huge intimidating terrifying mecha-prosthetic, then painted pretty little curlicues on it. That’s the kind of engineering I aspire to.
