Cleaned up an old doodle from college days.

IIRC, it was marketed to preteens in the early 1990s. You'd use a stylus to digitize diary entries and it would encrypt & write them to these huge, proprietary tape memory cartridges. Periodically an armored truck would pick up filled cassettes and take them to secure off-site storage facilities they built inside decommissioned missile silos. I guess they were sort of popular in Japan, but they never really took off in the US. Cost was a factor, I'm sure, plus the fact that you needed a 240V outlet which weren't and still aren't common in residential bedrooms.

Does anyone remember the "Bully Buddy"?? It was a weird little consumer robot made in 1983 (or '84?) that was marketed to parents of elementary school kids who were worried about their children getting bullied. Pretty sure they got recalled or even banned outright after a few fifth graders in Delaware had their legs broken by one of these things after they gave it's target child a swirly while it wasn't looking.

Environmental tile set for another abandoned game concept. This one would be a top-down shooter with tank controls a la Smash TV. The “story” is basically Die Hard where terrorists have taken over a huge resort space station orbiting earth. Lots of very 80s-inspired mall, casino, themepark, etc. levels, starting with “Tropic Terminal”, the spaceport for the entire complex.  

Rendering exercise wherein values + shading are accomplished by using gradients and hand-painting instead of using software. Building design by me, but don’t think about it too much. 

I used to own a sweet ‘89 Mustang 5.0L. I ended up crashing it, but I tried to immortalize it in PSX-style low-poly model. Wings3D was used for the model, Photoshop for the textures.

Big dumb flying machine that “eats” abandoned cars and breaks them down into raw materials. Designed for a graduate studio project. 

Graphics study for an older fictional work heavily inspired by “Fantastic Voyage”-style stories. A lot of the ideas I came up with for that would later be modified for @mysteryfleshpit
