Babes, she’s a valuable asset to our household, I might as well claim taxes on her. Of course I’m going to show everyone that comes by. Hearing you saw you fell in love with me never gets tired, it’s like the first time every time. We’re not just a match made, we’re the match made.. in mental hospital. No leg lamps allowed in bed, got it. She’ll just have to understand you’re my one and only.

i’d say you and i have long gotten to the point where you can’t avoid my sense of humor anymore, but you have to open these gifts in order. the first gift will truly make you appreciate the last one, but that doesn’t mean i don’t want you to utilize every one. merry christmas, your secret santa.. the odds on me drawing you were wild. @hqkristen

what did i tell you about going out into the city by yourself? last time you brought home a lamp shaped like a leg, said it reminded you of me and now that’s on your nightstand and throws our whole bedroom flow off. now you want to stuff my fridge full of hotdogs… did you at least bring condiments back with you too? specifically pickles, you know i MUST have pickles.

Hold the phone, Babes, our room would not feel as tied together as it does if it weren’t for the leg lamp. Leave lampena alone. It helps me feel less down whenever you’re not home, so I think an apology is in order when we go to bed. You know me better than that. Have I ever forgot your pickles? Almost emptied the lad’s stock of ‘em just for you.

Is that intentional though? Or is it just because we all can’t be award winning shining stars like you? Promise that wasn’t me being bitter, believe it or not, that was genuine. Thank you, you have good taste. Shame you won’t be getting to enjoy it. 

The line between genuine and bitter is very thin when you say it with the quick wit you possess, but I see it for what it is. You say that as if I haven’t been enjoying the sight alone tonight. Don’t underestimate how I can feel good from thoughts alone, you know better than that. I’m practically a whore for my own mind. 

Naturally her arms went to rest on his shoulders, as she let him lead her across the dance floor. She usually wasn’t much of a dancer — but the occasion and alcohol she had consumed played it’s part. “How did they even got a hold of that? — But don’t you worry. If and when it comes to that, I’ll be sure you lend you all of my speech giving expertise. Spent months building this up and I’d like to think I learned a thing or two.” Letting her eyes fall to the floor, Mila took another deep breath to try and ease the tightness she felt across her chest. Giving him another soft smile, she nodded slightly. “Well good… Better to add not yet at least.. God knows if anyone is to embarrass themselves, it’ll probably be me.”

“To be fair, I said it in a movie.. You know.. no amount of time, blah blah.. we’ll start with forever, that whole thing..” To keep her mind guessing, Robert took her hand and a step back before twirling her around and pulling her back in. “There’s a lot to learn when you’re the head of a pack with the bride’s maid, I’m sure. If anything, I might as well just request you come with me to the event.” While listening to the other admit to what she was capable of, Robert immediately noticed out of the corner of his eye another male walking up, seemingly heading straight towards him. “Just remember that you’ve been good at staying as calm as possible this far.. Keep onto that.” 

Mila really did appreciate the kind words he offered her. What was of course most important for her, was that Maia had appreciated the speech. Nevertheless, it felt good to a certain extent get the stamp of approval from someone outside. “Thank you, I really do appreciate that. I doubt you would’ve made a food out of yourself. Promise you, with three glasses of champagne in your system, you’re golden to just let the words fall off your tongue.” Taking his hand, Mila gave him a gentle smile. A soft sigh indicated her trying to clear her head from any sort of distraction. To keep her focus on someone else was probably exactly what she needed right now — as she let him lead the way.

Once they made it to the floor and could properly hear the music around them, Robert turned to face the girl with his hands settling on her waist. “I’ll make sure to come to you if I ever get in the same position to talk at someone’s wedding. The last time I did it, teenage girls quoted my speech or meme’d the hell out of it.” He tried to give her a laugh as he guided them in slow circles along with the beat. “And there’s never anything wrong with some champagne. You’ve not let it embarrass you or anything.” 

Once Mila had finally had her moment to deliver the speech she had worked so intensely on for months, it was like a big weight lifted off her shoulders. Not that she was particularly nervous or uncomfortable — just that she wanted it to be perfect, for Maia. When it was all done and dusted, she could finally breathe — and breathe was exactly what she needed to do, hence why she stood outside, glass in one hand, leaning against the wall. The last thing she wanted to do was to be a bummer to the party, it wasn’t about her. This day was Maia and Jacob’s only. Hence why she did everything in her power to ignore the one thing, or one person that had her mind floating off in all different directions. Her attention was caught by the male, and she flashed him a soft smile. “You think? Yeah I felt like I did good with it. But you never know until you read it you know? - But thank you.” Sighing heavily, Mila downed the last of her glass. “Actually, why the hell not. I’m here to have fun after all.”

“I’m not good at things like that.. It’s easy to do it in a different character, but putting my words out into something as myself? I always make a fool of myself with it really, but you had class, Love.” With the hand that had a cigarette clutched firmly between his fingers, Robert threw it down on the ground and under his shoe before guiding her back to the venue. “Exactly, gotta put on a good face for the couple. I’ll help you with it.” And with that, Robert opened the door for the both of them, looking back to give another smile in hopes to keep her attention off whatever had her mind in shreds. 

Anyone else on board for cancelling work for the entire year and just hitting up as many festivals as humanly possible? One in every country, maybe? Adulting can wait, I need that endorphin rush that comes from cider for breakfast and listening to good music in the sun. It’s a whole necessity. 

You never felt like the kind to ever be tied down to work for too long, anyway. There spirit just isn’t there for there, even if you’re good at what you do. Tonight’s the perfect setting to kick it off, too.. Speaking of tonight, though.. You look good. Real nice, Suk.. 

Am I freaking out about the wedding? Maybe a little bit. I tried to be the easy breezy bride but now I’m seeing the To Do List before the rehearsal dinner and freaking out a little bit.  

Certainly news to me that you ever had that feeling. My senses would tell me everything came together flawlessly from how it’s going. You and the party must have really outdone yourselves. How are the nerves now?
