We are a family owned and operated vineyard and farm winery located in the appropriately named Goodview area of Bedford County, Virginia. We began dreaming about the possibility of planting a vineyard in the late 90s as our nest emptied.

As the oldest commercial vineyard and winery at Smith Mountain Lake, a visit to Hickory Hill Vineyards is a must. The Furrows first planted vines in 1984 and after years of vineyard experience, they opened the winery in 2001.

AmRhein is a German name meaning “on the Rhein” (Rhine) River. AmRhein’s Wine Cellars is a Virginia family owned and operated, estate-grown winery, specializing in wines with a German influence. Our vineyards were first planted in 1995 and our first crush occurred in 1999.

Roanoke Ballet Theatre (RBT) is Roanoke’s non-profit school of dance, providing excellent instruction in ballet, pointe, modern, tap, jazz, and specialty classes for all ages and skill levels. RBT maintains a performing company of professionals and student members who perform and tour throughout the year.
