you’re watching Cats 1998 for the first time, and so far it’s awful cute. there’s all these folks in kitty costumes with ears and whiskers - aww! and there’s been a song about how the cats get their names, and the pretty white cat did a dance, and then they sang a song about this older cat called Jennyanydots - lol these adorable names - and how she teaches mice to crochet. aaaw, that’s sweet. what a nice song. <3 what a nice musical this is.

and it spends the next five minutes prancing around the stage waggling its butt and wriggling its hips and crotch-thrusting after every lyric and making all the other cats horny.

like - the Rum Tum Tugger’s introduction is the point where Cats drops its comfy dressing gown to reveal its sequined knickers and lets you know exactly what you’re in for.
