Chloe giggled happily, thinking she was as safe as she could be in her place of work. If Klaus was supposedly so dangerous and this man knew him, would she even be that safe. “Hey, you haven’t even told me your name? I don’t usually let guys behind my bar before I learn their name,” she joked as she moved to the side - giving him space to create something for her. “It is, some big tall broady guy always comes in to drink some.”

“Can’t a girl know if she really needs to look both ways around here? I’m new, I don’t know what to look after.”

What do you mean you’re not sure if it’ll ever be safe, then?

Chloe let out a louder laugh, shaking her head with slight disappointment. “You were supposed to ignore that part,” she explained with a quick nod. “Technically we are closed now?” she told him, picking up her wrist to look at her watch. “If you wanna try your hand in bartending, be my guest. Make me whatever you want.”

“Hm, I’ve been told that blondes do everything better.” The small human scrunched her nose at how corny she sounded, shaking her head for just a second. “I’m surprised you haven’t heard of us, we’re like secret royalty.” Obviously she was joking, it was obvious in her tone. ‘Well if you’re here for a while, you’ll probably get to know us sooner or later.”

“Okay, but near in which direction?”

“There’s one close to the high school? It’s down that road and then to the right.”

Chloe let out another laugh, pursing out her lips as she grew confused. “Are they lovers?” she spoke, slightly mimicking his voice at the l word. “If they are, I hope it’s not more than her. I don’t do the whole let’s date multiple people while I’m dating your older sister thing.” Immediately, she rolled her eyes. “Trust me, she’ll be fine. She’s an O’Connell for Christ’s sake.”

When she was done, she grabbed a napkin that was on her pocket and cleaned her mouth, looking at the girl “Uhm, do you have any mind or something? That would be great”

All I was asking was if you’re okay?

“Elijah? I don’t think he’s been in today, you could ask me sister though. Cami? I know she knows him.”

Immediately, Chloe began to giggled out loud. “It’s disgusting, right? I don’t get it,” she admitted with another breathy laugh, 

This town is small enough where everything is “near”.

“Nice little town. I think I’m going to like this place”

“So you’re new?” 

“Move plea—” And couldn’t finish because she was throwing everything on some dumpster that was actually really close.

“Are you okay? Do you need something?” Chloe stated with wide eyes, taking a step closer to the blonde instead of a step away like everyone else. 

“Well if he ever comes back, I’ll tell him to get some new material.” Chloe took a small sip, her head cocking to the side just a bit as he spoke. “Elijah? Hm, I don’t think so. Wait, I’ve head of an Elijah! Do you mean Klaus’ brother? I don’t even know Klaus either, but he’s my sisters friend...thing.”
