Some more pictures of the race fairings. Not perfect but that's expected. The only issue is the belly pan, I need to trim it or get headers for it to fit. I'm happy it fits my clipons and has good clearance

Race bodywork finally came in from Japan. These seem very well made. The fiberglass is pretty strong and flexible. The white coated paint is really nice and saves some work for painting. I'm overall pretty happy with it
So the latest update I did, in the process of finishing are front fork springs. Luckily my local full service race shop, KFG Racing, was able to source me springs that would work for the R3. Now there are GP Suspension springs as well but their lowest spring rate is 0.90 where I needed 0.85. The only available option was the more expensive Ohlins. The new springs happened to be shorter by 40 mm. So I need to get some PVC pipe to make a longer spacer for it to work right.
First post I have to introduce the bike. I went down to Oregon to go buy it so it was a 4 hour drive one way. 6hrs after owning it, 12hrs into my day and 3hrs of riding I fell asleep while riding. It was hot, I was full geared, I was tired and I didn't hydrate myself enough. Car in front of me brakes hard, I some up in time to brake, too hard, went over the bike and the bile landed on me first and continued. Fast forward to the hospital, Xray and CT scan showed nothing so I was good to go as soon as the percocet wore off. The next day I picked it up and $340 later I got the bike back. Other than the picture, taillight busted but useable. Rear seat destroyed. I was fortunate to walk away from everything. I started ordering parts right away and try to get it ready. After a few days I named her Safaia which is just Sapphire if it is read in Japanese.
