Repeating myself here. But fuck Andy Serkis. Tolkiens works are flawed but still stories of love, fellowship, community and nurturing and humble lives. There are canonical poc people (including hobbits). So please, stop excluding poc people (or from any other minority) from this fandom.

I’m currently rereading Hunger Games catching fire and I wanted to share something I haven’t seen or heard other people talk about. On page 241 Katniss formally meets Chaff and Seeder. Here’s the description Katniss gives about Seeder

“The woman, Seeder, looks almost like she could be from the Seam, with her olive skin and straight black hair streaked with Silver.” (The Hunger Games:Catching Fire. Page 241)

Within the context of The Sunrise of the Reaping, this feels like a foundation as to why Louella was replaced with Lou Lou from District 11. If there are people who have the ‘Seam look’ it makes sense the Capitol can grab someone from 11.
