FEAR IS FOR THE WEAK.

megaera  merely  shook  her  head,  lips  pressed  firmly  around  the  rim  of  her  glass.  she  hadn’t  anticipated  any  kind  of  refusal  (  after  all,  he  was  in  no  place  to  ),  but  she  hadn’t  prepared  herself  for  such  unabashed  interest.  her  golden  eyes  remained  fixed  on  the  wall  just  ahead,  sparing  him  and  any  other  shade  the  unpleasant  mood  that  clouded  her  whenever  she  was  troubled  by  something  her  whip  couldn’t  immediately  solve.

❝  how  do  you  cope  with  a  longing  for  the  past  ?  ❞  surely  mortals  felt  such  a  loss  more  profoundly  —  and  he  was  truly  an  exceptional  case.

something just short of a LAUGH escapes the old hero’s mouth. 

‘ not very WELL , if you couldn’t tell . it’s hard not to think about one’s days under the SUN     especially with another. some get LOST in that feeling, or simply - RUN AWAY from it . ‘

he sits back in his chair        searching the ceiling for some form of HOPE to offer her . he knows whatever he says , it will be difficult to see past the HYPOCRISY , knowing what he’s done - who he LEFT BEHIND . (  fear is for the weak. )
