While the most glaring use of Charaâs necromancy Red Bloodline magic is the incomplete, messy revival of the dead whoâs SOULs are long since shattered & absent, that isnât really the full scope of her abilities.
Determination is the driving force behind life, and as such, someone who can control it is capable of gifting it upon others; alive or dead. Upon the living, itâs needless to say that a substantial boost to oneâs DT (within a reasonable range) can be a wondrous boon to almost anyone.
While sheâs not quite powerful enough to boost someone to the point of being able to hold onto a SAVE file, she can bolster a SOULâs will to live, healing it and letting it fight harder to hang on to life- let them refuse to die.Â
This effect is much more apparent among monsters than it is humans, due to the way their bodyâs start to dramatically fall apart near death (thus pulling themselves back together when Chara wills it), and if a monster is already particularly determined it can even trigger a magical transformation.
She canât really heal humans, due to their physical bodies being separate from their SOULs, but she can rescue a humanâs SOUL from shattering if she gets to it fast enough. Animal souls too, actually; thatâs how she discovered the ability.
At the same time, she can also take it away; only in small increments at the moment, but the ability is still there, and can negatively effect those that rely on the powers DT provides. She could make a monster fall out of a powerful form just as easily as she could trigger one. Upon humans, once again, the effects are less physical; and really, can only be felt by the current SAVE holder.
Who, if theyâve become her target, will find their LOAD times increasing to infuriating levels over the course of whatever run theyâre attempting.
However, she doesnât really use this ability much for offense... the most sheâs used it for recently is upon the amalgamates, having taken to working their DT up or down as is required to find a preferable balance that keeps them from dusting while hopefully making them more comfortable,
Her first âsuccess storyâ of this side-therapy of herâs is Corinthian, the amalgamate formerly known as Reaper Bird, whoâs coalesced into much more... âsingularâ being. Capable of speech and rational thought, and no longer at risk of melting away into nothing. Still a bit wild-natured, though.
But, as said, the positive effects of this magic are all very... difficult to see among humans. While we could see her bringing a dog back from the grasp of death, all the superstitious villagers would see is a witch playing with a corpse.
