“I forget that supervillains have feelings too, I guess.”

“Does it not affect you if things get royally fucked? Given the whole stone in your chest thing?”

“Easy for you to say when you have a reality stone in your chest.”

“What is there to talk about? If you’re asking me how I ended up here, I don’t know. Probably has to do with the mess S.H.I.E.L.D. created.”

“I’m not pretending to know you, just saying.” Daisy shrugged as she raised an eyebrow at the blonde’s next words. “Emphasis on former. I didn’t agree with what they did to you.”

Daisy could definitely feel herself leaning closer to Ripley, but she wasn’t making an effort to pull away. The former agent was close enough to smell Ripley’s perfume, and just before she could make out the scent she felt her center of balance nearly go out from under her and she managed to catch herself before falling down off of the stool. She listened intently to Ripley explaining the stone and smiled stupidly as she leaned her head onto her hand. “That’s crazy..” She said quietly, genuinely fascinated by the fact that Ripley had an entire reality stone in the center of her chest. As Ripley filled her cup up, Daisy clenched her fist and muttered a small,  slurred ‘yes’ before taking a sip and blinking at Ripley. “I can do seedy. I used to live in a van for awhile. And maybe I needed some peace tonight too.”

Clint tried to come up with a response on the fly, but the automatic call out caught him off the spot as he took a deep breath and nodded at Star. It wasn’t like he could lie, of all people she would know. “I think so. It’s nothing I can’t handle.”

Cindy frowned at Ripley’s response, although it was hard to sympathize with the blonde. She really, really wanted to, but Ripley was not a nice person. And some of the stuff Cindy had heard definitely made her understand why everyone didn’t like Ripley. But that didn’t mean she deserved to be treated like a human experiment by S.H.I.E.L.D.. No one deserved that. “Tell me about it. I’m quite literally a different person than I was going into that place.”

“I think S.H.I.E.L.D. has more on their plate right now than they can handle after that whole mess.” Felicia shrugged, figuring that they had a good few months of slipping under S.H.I.E.L.D.’s radar while they dealt with this PR nightmare. She rolled her eyes at the mention of her Pleasant Hill persona. “It was. It’s very nice to not be in there anymore. Still beats being comatose, though.”

“That look in your eyes— I know what it means. I see it everywhere I go. You want to ask me something, yet you hesitate. Why? Are you afraid I might hurt you?”

“you see, history is much more fascinating than you’d expect it to be.”

“Do you think everything’s going to be okay after the fact? I talked to Cindy Moon and she’s definitely not my age anymore.”

“What the hell?” Clint deadpanned towards Ripley, shaking his head at her as he looked back at his arrows. “Change them back. Those things aren’t cheap.”

“I think you woulda done that a long time ago if you wanted to, Ripley.”

“Our goal isn’t to escalate. I simply do what I believe is best for the Inhumans. And if you don’t agree with that you have that right, I suppose.” Medusa shrugged.

“You’re not making your case any better, you know. But you’re right, I guess that was a bad apology on my part.”

Daisy’s eyes widened at the sight of the glass refilling, and the bartender that came up to check on them seemed stunned into silence as he turned and opted to check on other patrons. The whole interaction was enough to get a full on snort out of Daisy as she giggled. “I think you just made that guy shit bricks.” She commented, leaning in closer when Ripley said she had a secret. She nearly fell out of her chair and quickly rebalanced herself as she listened. “Is the stone alive? Cause you’re talking about it like it’s alive.” She asked, genuinely wondering as she finished her drink and turned her head down to it. “Think you can do a gal a favor and refill mine too?”
