"Damn. Thatās actually pretty deep." Kaz admitted. And it was true. She wasnāt suicidal or anything, but she had a nagging curiosity about death and everything that came afterwards. Kaz had lost all interest in finding things out for her client, and was suddenly full of questions about the Underworld.Ā
"What about all the people from up here who are so against government, or any formed communal consciousness? I mean, they canāt be happy about having to integrate with the people they fought their whole lives against."
"Well, what makes you think we should care if they're happy or not? The afterlife isn't there to please you, if it was it would be Heaven. Those people usually stick to their own down there. It's one thing to fight The Man up here, but in the Underworld everyone is equal."
Clark began to pace around the small alley slowly. He began to wonder why this girl had so many questions in the first place or why they were so important she'd kick a demon in the balls for the answers.
