we’ve received a couple of asks regarding the gossip blog today, and as such, i feel some clarification is in order.

admittedly, it’s been a slow process, considering the time of year. crafting and following up on tasks takes effort (we don’t do anything halfway in this family, no sir), and with me knee deep in summative coursework, i’ve felt it better to put the project on ice until i can commit properly, not to leave you all with tasks that i cannot follow up on. please bear in mind that education will always be my top priority, and that i will never sacrifice my academic career for the sake of roleplaying. i hope you can all understand and respect that sentiment. 

that being said - once i re-emerge from exam hell (after may 10th, give or take), i’ll have both time, energy and motivation to put up some proper tasks !! also, if you want a task/for the gossip blog to expose your character/anything of the sort, please feel free to message the gossip blog? the best tasks are created in collaboration between me and the rest of you, so if you have an idea - let me know.

NB! i have made the executive decision to turn off anonymous questions for the time being, as some of the posts we’ve received over the past week have been less than civil. it will be turned back on after i finish my exams. hope you all understand !!!

currently as per our rules, we have been running activity checks once a week, usually, on wednesdays/thursdays, this will no longer be in place. effective immediately activity checks will be spontaneous and conducted once a week as needed.

in regards to activity, text interactions as well as paragraph interactions, will count towards activity but not text interactions alone. if the only interactions your character has participated in for four days ( the activity limit ), their unfollow will be posted.

ask meme’s do not count towards activity, replies are still required. we love meme weekends/nights as much as you all do but to keep an active dash it does require replies too.

we will be actively cutting down on ANY godmodded starters. we understand that certain people do not mind godmodding in context but in starters it makes interacting with your character extremely hard and almost impossible. if there are any problems with godmodding in normal interactions that you have a problem with, please message the main.

with starters we also ask that they be more inclusive to strangers, oxford is a very large university, it is safer to assume your characters don’t know anyone at all instead of assuming they know everyone. please bear this in mind when writing starters.
