Riordanverse Rewrite

Here is the list of what i shall be rewriting

I’m currently still working on more behind the scenes things before I begin writing. I’m currently focused on working through PJO, trying to figure out the overall plots & characters, rereading the series and noting things down. I’m trying to get this down before going through the changes I wish to make to the series as well as going through general world building, so I’m able to reference the canon to look at what I wish to change & what I wish to keep

I specifically will be taking inspo from the show when it comes to Clarisse’s character, as I feel like the show wrote and potrayed her much better than the books did, though there will still be some differences! I just really like how they gave us more of who she is beyond the violence and antagonism

As for Alison, I really love having more named and important characters for Kronos’ Army! Alabaster will most likely also be making an appearance in the first series, despite only showing up in the Demigod Diaries in canon. I wish to explore a bit more with Kronos’ Army and I don’t want it to just be Luke as the sole face of Kronos’ Army

Do you mean with Anubis and Walt? I’m not 100% sure yet, but I believe they will end up in a polyamorous relationship with Sadie dating both of them!

Annabeth & Luke are going to be more familial! While I do understand that younger kids can have crushes on adults, I don’t like the way Rick handled it. Annabeth’s crush feels a bit weird to me and it’s just worse when he tried to make it so that Luke returned the feelings. I am aware he simply forgot the age gap, but I feel like that is a mistake that could’ve easily been avoided. I have no plans for any romantic feelings between Annabeth and Luke at all.

Percy feels both hatred and understanding with Luke. More specifically, I feel like he somewhat battles between the two but for the majority of the time he defaults to his hatred/shows hatred more. The longer the series goes on, he developes more of an understanding of why Luke chose to do everything he’s done, but along with that he also sees more and more of Luke’s bad actions and the affects that they have. I think his opinions on Luke are quite complicated, but he hates him for what he has caused but to a level, understands why he did it. He doesn’t believe that Luke’s actions were justified despite understanding the reason.

Mm probably not? I’m not a huge fan of Calyspo and Leo, but I wouldn’t say I despise them!! I also think that Jason and Piper could’ve been written better and I kinda get the ick with the fact they were basically put together by Hera without much other choice

I don’t think I despise any ships though, I barely even hate any!

Within canon, my favorite romantic relationship would probably be Solangelo or Fierrochase and my favorite friendship would be Piper & Leo mayhaps ^^

When it comes to fanon, I’m honestly incredibly open to everything! I have some of my own favorites, such as Ruegard & Ethan x Alabaster, but I’m a multishipper and I could be convinced to like p much any ship! (besides proships)

I lied when I said I would be done BotL because I’m not done w it yet. During the first week between then and now, I did progress on those notes & I also worked on a few other things, primarily trying to make sure I know what biggest changes I want to make for each book, which I think I mostly got down for now. I’m doing some research with library books on greek mythology and how ancient greek went about their religion.

I, however, have done next to nothing this week. But I have a goal of 2 hours of working on this project a day, so I will find a way to slowly catch up on everything I need to do.

But also, I’ll be out of school for this year soon! Which means a lot more free time to do whatever I please, including working on this project.

Would you say that you have a pretty decent idea as to what you're going to do for the rewrite as of now or is it too early?

What do YOU think Nico's opinion on gas station coffee creamer?

Would Leo eat that pickle in a pouch thing or does he believe that pickles deserve more respect than that?

you were my first ask !! i don’t think i’ve had a whole lot but i hope for more…

1. I do have some ideas! A feel like a lot of the earlier changes are mostly more minor details and not things that affect the overall plotline, but I think that’s probably fine as the differences would build up & the tone is (hopefully) going to be more serious & reflective than the tone that Rick has within his works.

2. I honestly couldn’t tell you because I know nothing about gas station coffee creamer, never tried it & never will because I don’t like coffee I fear
