I think a big reason why he's the "calm boyf" role in their relationship has to do with how reserved he is around rindou.

Cuz 1. Rindou is a bonten exec and 2. Being with someone other than Koko would be a big mental struggle for Seishu I'd imagine.

The codependency is constantly being challenged which would explain even more why he's always "calm" around Rin.
