This scene is actually quite layered, but often made straightfoward by nice guys. Uwah uwah Rin confessed, what a bitch. It is not so.
Kakashi tells Rin to escape, but she refuses. After that, Kakashi insists that she should escape and tells her heâs following Obitoâs will. Then she âconfessesâ and then Kakashi ârefusesâ and tells her once more to escape. The last panel that you see is her still standing there.
Kakashi tells Rin that because Obito loved her, he wanted to protect her. However, Rin refers to her feelings. She loves Kakashi, so she also wants to protect him. This is why she doesnât leave his side no matter how many times Kakashi tels her to leave.
Rin isnât randomly confessing. Sheâs saying that Obito > Rin and Rin > Kakashi are the same, so if he understands Obitoâs feelings and is ready to die for them, then he must understand Rinâs feelings, therefore telling her to leave is pointless. This is like, the theme of the manga. Protecting others out of love, blah blah.
Kakashiâs answer to her feelings isnât a rejection in a straightfoward matter either. He understands her feelings for him, but he counters that by saying heâs trash and then telling her to escape. What he answers isnât âI donât like youâ. What he says is 'I donât deserve itâ.
