take me home || kurt + riley
Kurt smiled goofily down at Riley. He felt completely safe but vulnerable at the same time when he was around Riley. He could be himself, show every side of him, but it also scared him, he had no guard up around Riley, and he could just hurt him in a second.
The boy laughed softly and nodded, already enjoying the trip that the two of them would be sharing. He couldn’t wait to spend nights tangled up with the other. He sighed softly at his comment. For some reason he’d always imagined a future with Riley, even though he knew marriage was out of the question, it was always in the back of his mind. “Okay you have a fair point, but still” he said, running a hand through his hair as he got comfortable in the car. The male nodded slowly, squeezing his hand. “Yeah, of course it does, you know you can tell me anything right?” he said quietly, looking over to him.
Riley avoided commitment as much as possible, rejected the idea of every getting married in hopes he wouldn’t end up like his own parents. He couldn’t trust himself either, constantly falling in love too fast and too irrationally. And he could barely commit himself to a relationship. The fact he’d have to say vows and promise himself to someone forever was almost a nightmare.
But it felt different with Kurt, the fear fading slightly as his heart beat faster and his palms felt clammy whenever he was around the other guy. He couldn’t wait to spend the rest of the week with him, was even more excited this wouldn’t be the last they’d be together, that even after spring break he’d tangle himself in Kurt and fall asleep nuzzled against him. Robbie was right when he said whoever it was Riley could say he was in love with, they must have really meant somethin to him. And Riley had a feeling Kurt would be different from any other guy in his life.
