May I also put forward the thought that that scarechord ties into who the Prowler was to Miles. This is a kid who was shaped into who he became in part because of his strong bond with his uncle. His uncle was the key to Miles being bitten in the first place, after all!

The Prowler’s scarechord is very distinctive and it’s not just an arbitrary thing thrown into What’s Up Danger - so I don’t doubt that the meaning there is multifaceted and does include Miles’ fear and anxiety, because that’s a huge part of the kid’s development arc.

But could it also represent the influence Miles’ uncle had on his journey to being the Spider-Man - whether because he was the supportive, reckless graffitist giving Miles lame flirting advice (something also brought back at the end) or because he was a symbol of betrayal and deep distress for Miles?

I’m not articulating this the way I want and I might come back and try to polish up my phrasing, haha.

I just like to think that his sort-of mentor role to Miles stuck around even after he died, you know?
