The Sunlit Warrior: MOURNE
The Sunlit Warriors are the pinnacle of what The Unity of Bask has to offer. All soaked in the glory of Bask Himself, Mourne, Nune, and Duske have been granted His gift of light to wield for the greater good of The Unity and the country of Brigocza. Mourne was the last to join the Warrior's ranks, and by far the most powerful. Once a simple footman in the Unity's holy army, she was elevated to sainthood when during a loosing battle, she erupted in a blaze of light and heat, streaking across the fields until none, friend or foe, were left in her wake. Not even she came out unscathed: skin burnt and blistering, hair and cloak bleached from the exposure. Unlike the course, unrefined magics of the heretics, her's was pure and beautiful. Delicate and warming as the sun on a warm summer's day. Truly, chosen, gifted, beloved. Sunlit.
PFFFT please! "Delicate and warming???" Oh yeah, for sure. "Here's Joan of Arc, she gave herself skin cancer cause she went a little too hard on the battlefield. Join our cult!" Jeez... I wonder how much they paid the painter not to show her covered in boils. Imply humanity, but never show it.
I'm pretty sure she's responsible for the attack on the old cathedral. Like, they said she died in that attack along with the other "Warriors" and the old heads, but... I saw what happened to that place. It looked like it had melted. From the inside out. Glass and stone fused, trapping people inside like bugs in amber. Then I was dragged away, of course, couldn't let me see too much, but from what I did see... I don't know what kind of magic does that, except, yanno... the sun.
Now they have the Eaftensong Cathedral in all her "glory," so they didn't come out too hurt now did they. The Nine took a hold of the reins and they don't seem to be letting go any time soon.
I don't know how much time I have left here. I'll write again soon, I swear. Keep yourself safe.
