So, where are we going to celebrate?

That's entirely up to the birthday boy. We can go into the city or just hang around camp. 

I thought Chase would come here or something and we’ll do something, but I think he really forgot that today’s my birthday. [he shrugs.] So, I really don’t know. Do you want to do something?

Maybe he'll come later tonight. [She nods.] Lets go celebrate you entering adulthood! 

[he opens it and once he sees what’s inside, he smiles again, he takes one of the beanies and wears it. He then takes the card and looks at it.] This is why you’re best.

[She grins and nods her head.] Yeah, yeah I kind of am the best. [She plops down on one of the beds.] So what did you have planned for today?

Yes, yes you are. [She shakes her head.] You have to open it.

[he chuckles] When did you get back? [he gets the box from Ridley.] Thanks. And you don’t have to, you know?

[She shrugs.] Not long. [She rolls her eyes with a smile.] I almost forgot how stupid you can be. Of course I have to, it's your 18th birthday. 

[he smiles when he realises it’s Ridley, he comes closer to her and pulls her into a hug and spins her around] Riddles, I’ve missed you!

[She laughs when he spins her around.] Now that's a proper reaction. [She turns around and grabs the wrapped box she left by the door before he picked her up and hands it to him with a smile.] Happy Birthday, Painter Boy! 

[when he hears the door open of the hecate cabin, he stands up from Candy’s bed and walks closer to the door.] Why’re you here?

[She makes a weird face.] Good to see you again too.

[sighs because sure he’s thought ‘bout it but he doesn’t want her to worry] It might never happen. We train and we’re heavily armed, we’ll be ‘kay I think.

[She slowly nods, a little doubtful but starting to believe the camp will be perfectly fine.] You're right, I'm being silly for worrying. 

Not if you look hard enough. Everything is achievable if you know where to look for it. [He smiles slightly, his fingers pausing on the keys.] Do… Do you want me to teach you? I mean, I don’t know if I’d be any good, but I could try. I started teaching Natalie a while back and she seems to have picked it up alright.

[She nods.] Yes, I'd like that. I doubt I would be able to do it even remotely well without a teacher. 

[shrugs] But everyone got away without anythin’ to serious. 

But what if it happens again and the casualties are worse? 

[nods] To be honest I think the problems with the borders is the worst thing that’s ever happened to camp.

It was pretty bad, wasn't it? I can't believe that happened. 

[Shrugs his shoulders slightly, his fingers strumming lightly across the keys.] I think everyone’s musical in some way or another… You just have to find the right portal for expressing that musicality.

[She lets her fingers glide above the keys but not touching them.] I guess so. Although it would be difficult to find the portal. 

Oh so now you want one. [ He smirks as he puts them in the microwave and waits ] Hm.. well i’ve never been great at sharing.

Well you could always close your eyes and forget how many you planned to eat in the first place.

[Toby’s eyes drift sideways to Ridley beside him, and then back to the keys as he continues playing, occasionally stumbling and restarting.] Do you play? [He asks casually, shrugging his shoulders and miraculously managing to stay on the same chord.]

[She shakes her head lightly.] I'm not very musical.
