My Tomarrymort Fic Recs
I've gotten multiple asks lately about fic recs, so I thought I'd compile all of my favorite fics and authors in one place, finally. I'm a picky eater when it comes to fics, so rest assured all of these fics have consistent characterization, intriguing plot, and engaging prose.
(A quick warning: all fics linked below are fixed TMRHP/LVHP (bottom Harry only), so if this isn't a dynamic you enjoy, then this list isn't for you)

Anything By Severus_divides_into_H
And the Living Will Envy the Dead (Incomplete, 148k words) is, in my very valid and correct opinion, the best time travel fic on the market. Harry loses the battle at the ministry, and he steps through the veil as a last ditch effort to reform Tom Riddle and save the future. It is still ongoing, but it is actively updating and the slow burn is still so addictive and tense. I will never be able to get over this author's characterization, and anytime I write or draw this terrible duo they are mostly derived from this author's interpretation of their characters. (I've drawn multiple pieces of fanart for this fic here, here, and here.)
What He Grows To Be (Complete, 266k words) is probably more familiar, as it is one of the most popular fics in this fandom, for good reason. I also regard this as one of the best "Harry raises Tom" fics.
And when I say anything by this author, I mean anything. She also writes wonderful fics for Sebaciel, Hannigram, and Batjokes (all of which I have read and greatly enjoyed, even though I haven't watched Black Butler or Hannibal)

Anything by RudeHellion
Bend (Oneshot, 34k words) features a tense Auror Harry and a Masseur Tom Riddle who knows how to work out all his kinks...(wink wink). This is honestly the smut fic of all time to me. It is so, so hot, and the build up is some of the best I've seen for a pwp.
In Bed With the Enemy (Oneshot, 9k words) is a timeline mashup where Tom and Harry oppose each other politically, except they've had a slow burn on the side for who knows how long. Tensions are released.
They write deliciously smutty fics, but in contrast, they also have some tooth rottingly sweet oneshots I adored.
In Due Thyme (Oneshot, 5k words) Voldemort is bewildered by his war husband Harry decorating for Christmas (and actually attempting to talk to him??)
Hot Men on Ice (Oneshot, 1k words) is a wonderful meet-cute between hockey player Harry and Ice Skater Tom Riddle.
Tinsel (Oneshot, 1k words) is a short and sweet conversation between a Tom and Harry that have grown up together.
I love this author for their gorgeous descriptions of emotions and scenery (honestly if I had their vocabulary, I'd never need a thesaurus again) along with their characterization of Tom and Harry. I find their personalities to be very accurate to how I see them, and I also love that they describe Harry very close to how I draw him - buffer, tan (I'm pretty sure he's desi) - the only difference is his curly hair. Very amazing, underrated, author!!
Anything By Alissia
I've dutifully read everything they've writted, but here are some of my favorites! This author writes with a light tone that could make you laugh at some of the most heinous things; their stories are fast paced, engaging, all while maintaining fantastic characterizations.
In Bed with the Enemy (Complete, 18k) LVHP where Harry is an overtired auror who seems to be the only one unaware of Lord Voldemort's romantic obsession with him...an obsession that leads to an attack on the Ministry every year, and, even better, hemipenis DP.
Golden Years (Oneshot, 4k) This is my second favorite. Bratty Gold Digger Harry haggles a geriatric Tom because Tom stole his parents house. (Fortunately Unfortunately, Tom's...appetites... make it hard for Harry to remember why he hated Tom in the first place...)
Harry Potter and the No Good, Terrible Birthday Gifts (Oneshot, 5k) LVHP, Voldemort being horrendous at giving Harry birthday gifts, in 5 + 1 style.
And its deliciously smutty follow up
A Perfect Gift (Oneshot, 12k) Voldemort takes Harry on a table in front of all of his Death Eaters.
37,000ft (Oneshot, 3k) Is one of the more introspective fics on this list, and it really leans into the toxic aspects of the Tomarry dynamic. It's told nonlinearly and describes Harry's escape from a suffocating relationship.
From the Cradle to the Grave (Oneshot, 12k) Is my guilty favorite out of all their works. Omegaverse, Harry raises Tom, and it is heavily Dead Dove, so read the tags.

Anything By machiavelli
God of Nothing (Complete, 75k) My god. When I tell you this fic blew me away with the twists and turns? The first bit of the story focuses on an odd timeline mashup where Harry and Tom grow up together as muggles. Then, they are separated due to the war and they each become soldiers to find each other. Then, magic comes back and it turns into a vampiric, psychological thriller. I didn't read the tags before hand, so I got the most pleasant case of whiplash I've ever experienced.
the art of falling (Complete, 69k) This fic is beautiful. I usually don't like first person pov in fanfiction since it usually feels (y/n)ish and amateur, but for this fic its perfectly executed. Angel Harry, Devil Tom, and how Tom drags Harry down from divinity to be with him. Tear worthy.
They are also currently combing through their unfinished old works and rewriting a few, so send them lots of love on their wips (and also make sure to save a copy of their fics just in case they delete them to rewrite. Like they did to Honey, Smoke, Shiver. I almost cried. If anyone has a copy dm me.)
Anything By Child_OTKW
I'm sure many of you are familiar with this writer, as they are the author of two of the most prolific Tomarry fanfics in the fandom.
Consuming Shadows (Incomplete, 453k words) Harry Potter, now known as Hadrian Evans, has been raised by his mother Lily Potter in France far away from Lord Voldemort's domineering reign. They are to never meet for the good of wizardkind. Unfortunately for Hadrian, the Triwizard Tournament is calling his name.
you belong to me (i belong to you) (Incomplete, 140k words) Auror Harry dies and gets stuck in the past, except he's in another students body; said student died by committing suicide, got bullied, and was an overall pathetic slytherin. Harry is none of those things. It becomes increasingly obvious that Harry Potter is not Nathan Ciro, but how could Tom Riddle and Alphard Black ever prove it? (This one isn't technically slash, but the Tomarry vibes are there and kicking)

Another thing I love about this author is the massive amounts of au's and spin offs for their fics they've created on their tumblr! I remember when I first found out about them I spent hours scrolling through their tumblr and shrieking with delight at the crossovers and what-ifs. It was like reading fanfic of a fanfic, which is a testament to how well written their content is. You can find them here @childotkw
Anything By CouffaineCoffin
This author is fantastic and has recently become one of my favorites! They currently have six works, and all of them are amazing; please go check them out. These two are just my favorites.
O Death (Oneshot, 34k words) In which Harry deals with three versions of Tom: Diary (Harry's first crush), Diadem, and Voldemort (who appears in his dreams). Diary and Diadem need to take blood from Harry to continue existing outside of their objects, so Harry finds himself with two leeches that he can't bring himself to push away. They, in turn, push closer. I'm under the impression that there's going to be a sequel, so I'm eagerly awaiting that!
Gossip Colums (Oneshot, 14k words) This one is a semi serious crack fic where Tom Riddle is under the impression that Harry Potter is a slut who is bewitching the Knights through his promiscuity. Harry Potter is in fact a virgin.
The thing I love most about this author is how they can make characters seem simple at first, but as the fic goes on it becomes clear that things have gone on in the background; they know exactly when to reveal information and their foreshadowing reflects this. It makes their fics that much deeper.
(A bit of warning: all of their fics feature a piss kink. It usually doesn't impede upon your reading experience since it's often brief and the author writes marathon sex like you wouldn't believe, so its easy to skip and still enjoy the rest. I dislike it, and it was easy to brush over because the rest of the sex was hot enough to make up for it)
Miscellaneous Fics I Enjoyed
Kisses Cursed by The_Fictionist (Complete, 50k words) This one is brilliant. It has one of the most incredible atmospheres I've seen in a fic; and it's planned out like a mystery/thriller novel. It's a bit hard to follow at times but it's so worth it. It's loosely based off of Beauty and the Beast, and Harry Potter has to deal with mysterious, dangerous horcruxes in a set pattern if he wants to save Voldemort, and better yet, survive.
A Dangerous Game by Cybrid (Complete, 322k words) This is a fanfiction that could actually be a book. The prose is immaculate and the pacing is perfect; everything exists to move the plot along in a satisfying, unrushed way. There's also copious amounts of sex and a Harry that tries to delude himself into thinking he has Stockholm syndrome rather than acknowledge he's gay, so it's hilarious. I didn't give this fic a chance a while back because I really disagreed with characterizing Tom Riddle as a virile, sexually experienced male, but it works perfectly in this fic. It is absolutely incredible, and a must read for starter Tomarry fans.
To Live Again by mosiva (Complete, 17k words) Harry is a previous harem boy for the eternal emperor Voldemort who was supposed to be dead. He got too comfortable and decided to argue with the emperor, which led to his execution. Except he didn't die. And Voldemort misses him.
if we were lovers by reggieblk (Complete, 277k words) UNDERATED!! READ. NOW. Prestigious acting school. Harry transfers in the last year, much to Tom's disapproval, but things might not be all that bad since Tom enjoys making their characters have homoerotic tension even when the play doesn't call for it.
threads in the dark by astralcrest (Incomplete, 179k words) Voldemort, instead of killing Harry Potter, allows him and his family to live under Voldemort's all encompassing reign. Except...Harry is able to bring things back to life. This includes a locket he found in his godfathers house. (This fic is incredibly morbid, I especially love Voldemort's characterization. The way the author discribes the creation of the horcruxes...shivers. The horcrux raising is what really stands out to me. I'm awaiting the next chapter with bated breath.)
A Knight's Prize by lilacbunnii (Oneshot, 17k words) An Omegaverse Knight Au where Harry is an omegan prince, and Tom is his loyal knight. I really enjoyed this one, and the premise alone is delicious.
tempor · al | ary by asterismal (asterisms) (Complete, 16k words) FAVORITE HARRYMORT FIC. Tom Riddle time travels to the future to observe what his future self is doing, only to be surprised by domestic Harrymort shenanigans.
Benefit by asterismal (asterisms) (Complete, 6k words) Tomarry office au. Boss x Secretary. Do I need to elaborate?
Holly & Yew by LovelyLotus (Incomplete, 300k words) The most prolific Harry and Tom grow up together. Adorable.
Wear Me Like A Locket Around Your Throat by VivyPotter (Incomplete, 220k words) My first Tomarry fic! This is your standard "Harry time travels back to hogwarts", but the subtle humor, interesting use of background characters, and realistic slow burn make this fic stand out. It's easily digestible, so if you wanted to introduce tomarry to anyone this is the fic to do it with.
No Glory by ObsidianPen (Incomplete, 333k words) The most well known Harrymort fic. I don't think I even need to say anything.
you speak of the devil (like he's not your friend) by Amuria (Complete, 137k words) Harry finds a Horcrux the summer before his sixth year. A deal is struck. (Or, when Harry wakes a seventeen-year-old Tom Riddle from the Gaunt's Ring, it is to a world where his future self has achieved none of their goals except one. Harry is proof that he's a great wizard after all.)
Heartbeats by cyandenial (Oneshot, 10k words) A tragic oneshot where muggle hospital volunteer Harry falls in love with an irritable patient on his death bed.
A Thousand Paths Among The Stars by haplesshippo (Complete, 50k words) Sci-fi Tomarry! Harry is the captain of the ship, and it's Tom's job to remind him why. (I don't particularly like Tom's characterization in this fic - I think he's too soft - but Harry's angst and obliviousness towards how much his crew loves and forgives him for his mistakes makes up for it because that's my SHIIIT. I love it when Harry wallows. So yes, still a good read.)
