Notes: Rick serenades Zoey at her birthday dinner. 

Rick had sang happy birthday to the birthday girls and then there was another song on his agenda. “Miss Sinclair, this is for you.”

Zoey’s eyes widened because she was still i shock that The Rick Valentine was in the same room with her. Let alone he’d sang her Happy Birthday. Now he was singing to her again. As soon as the beat dropped to the song, she’d felt like her heart had stopped. This wasn’t real. Rick wasn’t singing one of her favorite songs to her.

Alex: Aww thank you. I appreciate you doing this. Seriously she’s going to be so geeked!

Alex: Hey so I know I really can’t ask for any favors, but I’m going to ask anyways and hope you say yes. It’s Zoey Sinclair’s birthday on the 4th and she’s a huge fan of yours. Would you be willing to stop by her surprise birthday dinner and sing Happy Birthday to her?

With the clubs being back and school having started, Nora’s semester was already filling up quickly. Sitting at her little desk, she already had two school books and three note books that varied from on club to the next and one that had a bit of notes, laying out and open. Hearing Rick speak, she paused for a moment when planning her next Art Whizzes meeting and smiled a little. “You’re telling me. I might have taken this, let me do a lot senior year idea too far.” She commented with a laugh. “But I’m doing alright, trying to get my life in order a little, but I’ll get there.” Nora replied. “How are you, Friend?” 

Rick chuckled. “First off, most people do the complete opposite their senior year actually. They tend to do a relaxed senior year. You just came into your last year doing so much, but no take backs on things involving Rick,” he warned, grinning at her. “How are you attempting to get it in order?” He thought about her question for a second. “I’m great. I’ve got my career back, I’ve got a...sort of lady friend.” He didn’t know what to call what he and Brynn were doing exactly. “But I’m good. Really good. Shockingly.”

“Not dude, I don’t mess with that. You know the song Lick it by God-des and she? To be honest I think that’s a very educational song and people would benefit from listening to it.”

Rick smirked at the mention of that song, raising his brows. “You’re not wrong actually. I mean it is actually educational. Help for the hopeless on going down on a woman. Someone should write a book and devote it to just that I have no doubt that people would be happier with their sex life.”

Brynn: Why, Rick, are you coming on to me?

Brynn: ......Listen, I'll kiss you with or without you wearing that damn apron. Kind of can't resist the temptation.

Brynn: That sounds horrendous. I'll just stick to sitting on the counter and watching you cook. Maybe I'll kiss you. Maybe I won't. Who knows. :)

Brynn: I smile because I know that you'll be making meat that's not pink.... I still don't understand how I fucked up the chicken breast that bad. I cooked it for as long as it told me to!

Brynn: You always did know how to give a good compliment. Your bed it is, then. Especially if it means you'll be cooking. I'm kind of addicted to your french toast skills.

“Oh man I almost requested a song but then I thought about it and didn’t want you or me or both to get kicked out cause of it but it was the highlight of the night, that song. Thanks man you clean up nicely too. Cheryl is my car.”

“What song would that have been? I mean, we’ve got a new Chancellor so maybe we should tread lightly on race songs. Keep those for the hole in the wall I perform at on Tuesdays. What’s Cheryl need? I can help.”

Declan sighed, trying to refrain from rolling his eyes as he moved his bag. “There are other chairs you know.”

“I tend to enjoy sitting where people aren’t fond of me sitting. Consider me a rebel of sorts.”
