Calling this one "Instant regret" ! - warning for. violence lmao?

I think Richies inability to hold himself from laughing when he shouldn't is a very fun character detail!
tw eyestrain
As someone who loves Bill (he is only second to Eddie because nobody can beat him) I fully get people that don’t like him in the movie because… I was one of them.
LET ME EXPLAIN: I love Bill, as most people who have read the book can agree he’s one of the best characters, but the reason he’s so much better in the novel than in IT 2017 is that there he is a more human character.
Novel Bill cares about his friends and interact nicely with them often, ofc him and Eddie, but he is nice also with Ben and Mike, 3 friendship completely removed from the movie. IT 2017 Bill cares only about two things: his dead brother and Bev, while book Bill barely considers her at all for most of the novel, and if he does, it’s in a friendly way like he would treat Stan or Ben of and of the losers.
Then without the internal monologue we lose so much of those character: we hear about his emotional neglect, his struggles with grief, his relationship with his friends, his struggles with being a leader (a role he never asked to be but now he has to do to protect his friends) and all the worries that make him a kid like the others.
Another very important thing is that a lot of scene that humanize him in the novel got taken out/completely changed: when he cried because he thought that Eddie was going to die, when he was sobbing thinking that he’s the reason George died, when he’s playing as a normal kid… they removed that only to make him this adult hero he never was meant to be.
PS. If I wasn’t clear enough, I’m only talking about CHILD Bill, both adults versions pmo.
Stan: Where does he go at night?
Richie: He’s usually going to like McDonalds or something
Stan: Richie stop
Richie: No that’s literally where he goes

AND THE FINAL ONE, LEADER OF THE LOSERS, BIG BILL 1986
a.k.a
Topping off the final version of my book version of the losers club, or at least my version:
and younger to compare:
Animated version of this sketch paired with this song from the paranorman score cause whenever I listen to it, it reminds me of the segment of the book that describes Ben's happy walk home just before he's found by Bowers
Little Ben having his walk home
Recently broke my apple pencil so no digital for now but I've getting super into this idea of like a mike flanagan book accurate tv show so I'm gonna be drawing sections of the book more often on my reread
A beverly/benverly addition

The kids from IT (book version) wish them luck…
i wanted to eat you / she's only eating me because she loves me
(beverly + eddie parallels: parents, incest, & repetition compulsion)
One of my favorite stupid details in all of the IT book is that Mike is explicitly stated to love peanut butter and onion sandwiches while Henry is explicitly stated to hate them.
I'm fucking crying they're ops in every conceivable way, these two could argue about anything. these are the ONLY times this specific sandwich is ever even mentioned btw, stephen king just REALLY felt like we should know this.
"I would take Mike's side in any dispute with Bowers" mfs when the dreaded peanut butter and onion sandwich walks in: :0
Pennywise: well well well, if it isn't the losers club.
Bill: but it is us.
Pennywise: no, it's an expression-
Richie: your villain tricks won't work on us!

I love the scene at the laundry room because it’s just Stan and Bev basically babysitting Eddie while Ben it’s just there admiring Bev snd lowkey being a simp.
MY FAVORITE SCENE I LOVE IT
I just feel that nobodu realises how good Stephen king’s IT is doesn’t anybody know about this
