Marks and Spencer socks bought in 1979. I had the brown colourway, but completely wore them out, beyond repair!

Socks from Marks & Spencer (St Michael) bought in 1977. Great pattern. Teva sandals show them off to full advantage, as I like people to see my socks .

Bought at a co-op department store in 1979 and worn regularly ever since. These ribbed nylon socks are so comfortable and last for ages: why oh why are they not made any more?!

Classic socks from British Homes Stores, available from around 1976-1979. Brown/Navy Blue/Black colourways. I have the first two. Immensely popular, with memories of so many men wearing them. Great socks! Soft, good quality, stretchy and just typical of the late 1970s.
