Been under the weather lately, so not as much knitting progress even though that’s mostly all I’ve been able to do. Two of my #knitting WIPs this morning! #chevronscarf is blocked, but I gotta #weaveinends today. It’s #ellaraelacemerinochunky in colorways 200, 204, and 504. This project stays in my Piglet #knittingbag by @tatty_designs I’m so close to done with this #knittedbabyblanket by Drops, at https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=2210&cid=17 — knit of #cascadeyarns North Shore — but I’m adding the feather-and-fan section to both ends to make it symmetrical. #lunarphasemkal ! I’m using #emmasyarn in “Arches” (moon, left), “Road Less Traveled” (transition, mid lft), “After Dark” (night sky, mid rt), Super Silky base. My white “stars” pop color is “What Glitters Is Gold”, Seriously Shiny base. I couldn’t get all the sparkles in the photo. Apparently “monsoon season” has started. Tornado warnings all day today and hail upset the cats when it hammered the front door. My boyfriend said his coworkers at OUC told him there was 3” hail in the Disney area. That’s upsetting, as it probably damaged the flowers and pavilions at the Flower and Garden Festival. Only one thing to do in this weather: light candles and #knit with my sister! She’s working on her hitofude, and I’m knitting the b14-22 Blanket with lacy pattern by #dropsdesign https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=2210&cid=17 using #cascadeyarnsnorthshore #cascadeyarns

Update: apparently not all the dye stayed in. And my hand is covered in fiber after I’ve squeezed it out.

I found a new #happyplace ! I couldn’t make this photo do this #yarn justice. It #sparkles so much, I just find myself grinning! And it’s squooshy! I can see more #fibernymphdyeworks in my future! I know fall is out of season, but I can’t resist. I grew up not allowed to have fall/Halloween stuff, so now I’m going overboard. I’d love to have it as a pair of socks, but I’m gonna have to take a #knittingclass or #craftsyclass on sock adjustment, because I wear 2 1/2 little girls or a women’s 4, 4 1/2 sock/shoe. :/ I’ll probably get another skein of #selfstripingyarn and knit my boyfriend #handknitsocks to learn the process. . . . #sunrise in #orlando along 417, coming home from #orlandointernationalairport to drop off niece. Fog rises from some swampy patches and small lakes, including in the small forested patch behind our home.

Last Saturday we went to #fourpurlsyarnshop for the #orangeblossomyarncrawl (I still can’t believe I forgot to take pictures while I was there!) @bristolivy was there and she autographed her book for me, #knittingoutsidetheboxbook :) I got the #obyc special #colorway dyed specially by Emma on her silky base (the greenish skein on the right in the pictures) #emmasyarn SO SOFT! and a gradient by #appletreeknits in pure #floridaorange to make the second skein for the #soundwavesshawl by Laura Dobratz and Nancy Dobler (5th pic); I fell in love with Interpretations vol 4 and got super excited thinking it was the volume that’s about to come out that I’d seen here, but now I feel even more excited because it means there’s even more to look forward to and I want to see all the volumes! I love #veeravälimäki and #jojilocatelli ! I looked at getting a #lykke needle to try, but my boyfriend said it would be cheaper in the long run to buy a set than to get them piecemeal. (Sheepish) Did I fall off a wagon to follow the trend, or did I jump on the bandwagon? So many wagons. Anyway although I love them and can’t wait to cast something on them, I still love my chiaogoo red lace too. I also didn’t print passports because I didn’t think we’d make it to all the shops, but now we might next weekend and I missed a stamp! After finishing the Hitofude, I wanted to #castonallthethings , so I cast on the #superstarhat (top left) by @melissakdesigns using #madelinetoshunicorntails in Cousteau and Cathedral ... I’ve gotten to try it on at #fourpurlsyarnshop so I know how comfortably stylish and cute it is, otherwise I’d give up on it because it’s HAND MURDER. I got stuck so I’m going to have to ask about the pattern at my lys. ( #snapememorial #stitchmarker and #griffindor project bag by #slippedstitchstudios ; all bags pictured are by them. ) so I cast on #21colorslouch kit by #blueskyfibers (top right) #harrypotter #gocraftytravelcase ultimate pocketses! After I finish that, I want to cast on the Diagon Alley Hat (lower right) in the Gobelin Accessories ebook by Louise Robert in #malabrigorios in Matisse Blue, for #ravenclaw (#firefly #jaynehat #knittingbag ) ... #crossroadshat by Elena Nodel (lower left) in #malabrigoarroyo in Cereza and Matisse Blue; Laura of #fourpurlsyarnshop helped me cut off the too-short ribbing so I could knit it the other way, but I gotta knit the cably bit into it (kitties and clouds #sockprojectbag ). I finished my #hitofude ! Eeee! #happydances I will take a better picture later but I still need to block it and #weaveinends at the bottom. (Color isn’t true, used photo filter to show stitch pattern) I found that trying to weave in fingering weight dark yarn in the dark was not a good idea. I confess, I already wore it out to a movie, since I figured nobody would be able to see the ends in the dark under the back anyway. Lol! It’s a weight off to have it finished—knitting something on a class deadline, especially something like this, is kind of stressful. Definitely prefer to knit things like this over more time alongside simpler, quicker knits.
