the thing that makes me feel the most crazy insane about the magic in Witch Hat Atelier is just how many spells we see that were made from love. spells made by people who loved someone or something or just people in general so much they invented a whole new spell and/or contraption for it. Olruggio's drying rings which he absolutely made with Qifrey in mind, and his snug stones given to the girls (and to Qifrey). Coco's flowing cold pack when Qifrey was recovering from his injuries and feverish, and the flight suit her and Tartah made for Custas so that he could fly. Coco's flight suit idea in general- made from her own desire to fly with magic, her dream realized and given freely to other children. Tetia's tent pole for tired travellers, a way for them to always rest. Agott adding water sculptures to Coco's purifying jars so that people would appreciate her work properly. Richeh and her rings to guide everyone she loves back to each other so theyre never truly lost. I could go on. it's all about love to the point of invention
