I sang this for Musashi over skype a while back and found an instrumental while digging through my iTunes.  I decided to make a full version for her.

Long ago, far away a tragedy of our time, I had wandered away content on not to return Falling deeper into a dark forest of despair. While I know it is hard, but I must go alone. Our hands entwined, we were one, sharing softly warmth and love Until the hand that I held had began to let mine go. Before I knew what happened, I was standing in silence. While you know it is hard, but you must go alone. The path we took forked in two forcing us to choose our own. It’s for the best, I presume, so I can’t hear your lies. My dark shadow lags behind waiting for your return, It will not ever know that we’re going alone. I don’t want to admit I had fallen in love; It blossomed suddenly and grew in my broken heart. “I cannot be with you…” I realized after so long, So I’ll dry every tear, and go on all alone. I felt like covering this, so I did.

There are so many things running around in my head, I try to count all of them, but I lose track instead. With a cup of tea I try to relax all of the anxiety I feel inside. I am fresh out of the shower, hair wet and clingy, I try to convince myself that I am still pretty, But there’s so many things saying otherwise to me, so I lay down and start to cry… I want to die, let me die, please right now. Can you not see all of the scars visibly haunting me? Or darkened lines scarring what was once perfect skin? I’ll close my eyes and I’ll pray that somehow I’ll awaken to a brighter day Just to watch as it shatters just like always. All the friends that I once loved are now strangers to me; I guess I have to accept that it’s how it must be. Even though I try to relax, I know that I can’t, my heart just won’t allow me to. Through all of the painful words that have been thrown at me, I try to put on a smile to keep me moving. I have nothing to be proud of, I’m lost and alone, with nothing more to lead me home. I am tired, let me sleep, please for now? I don’t want to feel the pain that I feel while I’m awake, To numb myself, Pretending that I’m not in the way. I know I’m trapped, cannot fly, can’t get out, But I want to see the day, the sky, and to see you… Can I ask just for that? Even the song that I had on repeat, And the smile that I looked forward to seeing each day Are looking at me now and laughing as I watch myself fade away. I want to die, let me die, please right now. Even if I write down all I’m thinking My days will go on with the same pain as always. It’s easier to give up. My wounds won’t heal… I guess I should disappear… Yeah… that sounds good…

If I hide, please come find me. If I’m ever lost, please help me find my way. And no matter how big the world becomes, Please know that I will always be right here. With your arms wrapped tight around me, everything felt just fine. I have lost track of all of the times we kissed when we could not find words. Even though so many years have passed since when we first met, I cannot imagine my life being better without you. When the time comes that we must say good-bye, I will dry your tears, if you will dry mine. Even if we are both crying, I love you too much to see you hurt in anyway. With your lips pressed tight against mine, everything felt just fine. I’d hold you tighter whenever I felt like I would fall and could not get up. Even though I can’t find the right words to say sometimes, Please let me say that my last wish was to always be with you. There are times I cry from loneliness, But I can’t be mad, because I know you’re happy. If forgetting me is what makes you happy, Then please don’t worry, I’m happy with saying good-bye. Please, will you promise me that much?
