I'm 28 years old & I work full-time. There is low activity across all of my blogs — I tend to get interested in spurts, so once in a while you may notice I practically live on Tumblr, whereas most of the time I pop in once every other week or so. Sometimes I reply to things on my phone. Block the #altmobile tag if you don't want to see unformatted replies.

Cool hands closed about his head and James instinctively shut his eyes. Rhoss’s voice was calm behind him and he tried to urge the rest of his body to calm itself while he listened to the instructions. His thoughts moved back to the village and the friendly couple who had offered up their home to a strange man wandering naked out from the wood.

      The magic moving through him was strange but not unpleasant. Rather, it felt like an easy warmth spreading in tendrils throughout his body starting at the head. As they moved, bits and pieces of images came to the forefront of James’s mind. Two smiling faces in clothing far too old, pairs of shimmering wings, a wood that felt far too familiar. They were all cohesive and yet at the same time not, and he found himself wholly distracted attempting to envision the entire story.

      When the magic finally receded James found himself dazed, but the solid weight of Rhoss’s hands on his small shoulders helped him to pry himself back to the surface of consciousness. He blinked- and then a tear slipped free down his cheek.

     “I think… I think I remember almost everything.”

“Yes and no. I love An Ráithín and I haven’t been outside of it before. But it is also the only place where I feel safe…so leaving has its drawbacks.” It was a good idea for them to come, in the end. Winter would fade and spring would come, and Vailintin cannot stay housed in Lady Isleen’s halls forever. They must take their place alongside the great gods of nature; of flowers and oak and stream.

And for that reason, it would be a bad idea for Vailintin to see the gardens. Their heart would cry out at the sight of the barren plots and flowerbeds and use their magic to renew the earth…immediately revealing themself and causing a scene.

“The Bay,” Vailintin decides quickly, tugging on Rhosso’s sleeve. “I’ve never been to the ocean before. I want to see dolphins!” While behind them, their guards silently follow.

Obediently James followed behind Rhoss into the back room. Upon entering he looked around with the same wonder he had the shoppe. It was filled to the brim with things he didn’t exactly understand, but that was part of what lent Rhoss and his shoppe their sense of mystique.

       Carefully he settled into the chair and pulled the sleeves of his sweater down over his hands to keep himself from fidgeting. There was an excited little smile on his face. Finally he might get some answers- finally he might know what really happened.

     “Thanks so much for doing this again…”

     The simplest of blunders yields a catastrophic mistake; they forgot to knock, and thus walked in on Rhoss before he had finished dressing. It could have been an honest mistake; some people are not as chipper as he in the mornings.      What makes it so EARTH-SHATTERING in Rhoss' eyes is that he had heard them coming. He thought they would knock. At the last moment, he spins around to face the door and hide his back. They would have seen more of his past than he cares to reveal. In a flurry of desperation he grabs the robe that was laid out on his bed and pulls it on, holding it closed at his waist as he hasn't put on his trousers yet.      His cheeks are a deep shade of red, and his voice comes out meek. "Would you please knock next time?"
