It is an incredible feeling to truly find yourself, and to love everything about who you’ve become after years of depression and self hate. The flaws have suddenly disappeared from my mind and my heart is finally open to accept love from myself and others. I never thought the day would come where happiness would be a consistent feeling in my life. My vibrations with the universe have finally paired with my attractions, and I’ve become this wholesome women that is no longer afraid to feel with the fear of losing a feeling that warms me, because I can now provide warmth for myself when it becomes a burden for others to do so. To be mentally and spiritually independent is a gift that I hope everyone will experience. You are not the darkness that comes with your depression, you are the light that will guide yourself to better times. Be patient during your journey. It took me 13 years to find my way, and everyday I’m glad that all of my attempts to put out my fire were unsuccessful. 

I know it gets exhausting, scrolling through social media and seeing all of these perceptions of what society considers perfection. I know that it’s hard not to look at yourself without feeling, ugly, or unsuccessful sometimes because you’re not in the same position as a stranger that you see online. But one thing that you have to always remember is that no one is ever ahead of you or behind you, they are simply on their own path. You will get lost trying to guide yourself in the direction of another person. You will get lost when your love becomes dependent on the approval of others. To wander aimlessly in your own direction is always better than following someone else’s who may know where they’re going - simply because their destination was not meant for you. All of our journeys are unique and require us to be fully present in order for our lives to align in the right direction. Trust yourself, and trust the process. You didn’t get this far to only get this far.
