11:  Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?

Aoi certainly does not recognize anything as a neurosis of his, though that is... less than true. He’s fairly paranoid, and very particular about his security. Most of his neurotic tendencies tie into his trauma and way he had to live for almost a decade, and he’s never truly able to shake them.

45. Superstitions or views on the occult?

Souda would like very much to say none of it bothers him in the slightest, it’s not very punk to be terrified of it. However, he finds himself cautiously superstitious and extremely avoidant of the occult- which is difficult sometimes with the aesthetic he has going. Not to mention, after meeting Komaeda who has such naturally gifted luck, superstitions seem much more plausible. 

Kokichi's not being slick in the slightest though then again that's probably the point. He slinks around until he finds his target and slides in the seat opposite, elbows on the table and face supported by hands, a grin nigh splitting his face in half. "Hey, sinnamon soda, watcha working on?" not that he particularly cares, more interested in Leon's reaction than anything.

Studying is not and has never been a strong suit of Leon’s. He has some big, stupid midterm tomorrow in the astronomy class Kaito talked him into taking- which was a mistake. He’s so absorbed in trying to solve the problem set out he doesn’t even notice the gremlin settling in across from him.

Then, his precarious focus is thrown off kilter by someone’s  annoying ass voice. He takes one slow, measured breath. For some godforsaken reason Kaito likes this boy, and while Leon may never understand whatever it is them and Shuichi have going on, he’d rather not break ties with his friend by throttling said friend’s boyfriend. Unfortunately. 

“What does it look like?” His voice is harsher than necessary, probably, but with the textbook, papers, and notebook spread out in front of him, he knows he doesn’t look like he wants to be interrupted.

"I'm scared of being used again..." Shuichi's voice is soft, barely audible. He shifts under the space themed blanket, bringing it closer to himself. It was a necessity, he knows, but that didn't lessen the pressure put on him to get it right. [ @ Kaito! post game mayhaps? ]

Shuichi looks terrified. It tugs on Kaito’s heart strings, has every protective bone in his body flaring up. Carefully, he removes his jacket before draping it over Shuichi’s shoulders and pulling him in to rest against Kaito’s side.

They’d barely gotten out of everything alive, and the scars still ran deep. The weight that had been placed on Shuichi’s shoulders was impossible. But, as he did with everything, Kaito decides to attack the situation with bold, unstoppable optimism. “I would never let anyone take advantage of my sidekick!” He punctuates the statement with a light squeeze. 

Sighing softly, he gazes up to the ceiling, thinking like he does often that he’d like to take Shuichi to space someday. To let him see the stars, and just feel so small and insignificant and lucky. The universe is huge and gorgeous and full of mysteries, and wouldn’t they make a duo? Kaito as the captain and hero, of course, with Shuichi at his side to find all they could find.
