Today, I’ll discuss about how to keep your bullet journal essential but with a creative touch. As you can see here, here, here or in the photo of this post, I love using stamps, quotes and washi tape to embellish my Bullet journal. 

Last year I used a pocket moleskine and, as you can see in some of my older posts, I used it also as an art journal. Every month, after the monthly spread, I usually painted or decorated somehow the following two pages and used them as “boards” for post-it or any other idea I had. It was great for the pocket size.

This year I choose to try again with a more “classic” and essential bullet journal approach using a leuchttrum a5. I’m only decorating the pages with a lovely washi tape a the bottom, every page is different in this way. My daily log are very essential but neat and clear. 

Everything consider, after only a month and half, I can say I prefer the pocket size but also this essential way of doing. It’s less chaotic this way but still someday I feel like something is missing - the art part. I’ve to figure out how to balance stuff!

I’ll stick with this planner and see if I can manage it!

I changed primarily the “font” used in the titles and in the citation. Also the right column has been rearranged. Then, in the bottom instead of washi tape I used that space to annotate the tasks of the month. The ones needed to be completed in that month but you can’t figure out exactly when you’ll have the time for those.

I thought it was a great idea to have a “2016 at glance” spreadsheet in the journal so I did it! As you can see it starts in February. This is due to thinking too much. As every year, I spent January 2016 thinking on how to plan for this year. Then I opted for a BuJo A5 and then a week passed to have the leuchttrum shipped. So my Bullet Journal year started in February!

As I saw in the bullet journal community, I tried this version of the future log. A page for March, April and May is more than enough as it is one for the following 4 months since I don’t have a lot of things to do in my summer months being a university student.
