There and Back Again

The Run Cancer Out of Town virtual 5k, is a charity / fundraiser for a dear friend, Cindy Robideau. Race Details: You can run 3.1 miles any day in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and record your official time. Submit that time, along with your name, and the Name of this race to: [email protected] Each registrant will receive a Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Medal Why are we raising Money? Cindy Robideau was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer that has spread to a lymph node. She is the mother of two beautiful boys ages 6 and 13. Lately, life has thrown Cindy and her family a few nasty curveballs. In the last few months her son has been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and her husband unexpectedly lost his job. In the midst of trying to work out family finances and stress management she was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer. All of this has happed too quickly for her family to plan a fundraiser. Her aggressive treatment plan will force Cindy to miss a lot of work - as she will be in five months of Chemo treatments, Mastectomy surgery and rounds of Radiation. This race is an attempt to raise money for Cindy and her family, as well as make a charitable donation to breast cancer research.
