The fact that dina and the Russians complained about linoy winning gold when she dropped her ribbon is going to drive me crazy, because in the 2018 world championship linoy won silver and dina won gold after literally dropping her ribbon. And I bet you neither linoy nor anyone in Israel complained about it or said shit like "she and her country should be ashamed of them selves" or that "this is a disgrace to the sport".

Absolutely! I swear I’ve never seen top gymnasts perform with drops and knots left and right as often as the Averinas. Yes, the current CoP allows to compensate and they’ve used that to their advantage… but so did Linoy! I honestly do not know how she could say shit like that with a straight face. Does she think she has some sort of monopoly over how to win even with a drop? Seriously,

Her poor sportsmanship, sadly, is nothing new. I remember vividly how she wasn’t deducted a single tenth on a ribbon routine that had a knot for almost half of the performance (I personally think it was there since almost the beginning) and she proceeded to celebrate like nothing and the other competitors accepted the results with poise and grace even though they had every right to complain.

OUR GOLDEN GIRLS!!! CONGRATULATIONS, THIS IS A WELL-DESERVED WIN FOR BULGARIA!!! 🥇

After the misses on gold in the all-around at the world championship level during the 2017-20 cycle you finally did it at the Olympics! I’M SO HAPPY!!! 😭😭😭 This is yet another historic day in the sport. I feel like I’m dreaming!

I’m with you on this, especially if the next CoP will increase the significance of artistry. Hoping Daria can break the YOG curse. I’d love to see her up against Maria Pobedushkina next quad (hope she’s been improving, haven’t heard about her in a while), it would be another Zaripova vs Karpushenko battle.

Sometimes I forget how much money V*ner has and then I remember that there is lichrully a V*ner Gymnastics Centre where they can simulate competitions without having to actually go to one like I’m looking at the difference between the footages for the online tournament:

I kind of get the whole difficulty thing with her, but her artistic deductions should add up to be at least 1.5+, her moves have no relation to the music at all. Even if she were to get true deductions on her artistry, she should still be way up there in the scores since she's one of the few who can consistently perform crazy body difficulties, and her high D-scores can heavily outweigh those artistic deductions.

Once she becomes a more seasoned gymnast she’ll definitely be a force to be reckoned with. During the Russian Championships she had some great moments. In my eyes Pobedushkina has a LOT of potential. I’m sure Karpushenko wants to be behind another RG legend ever since Yana retired 3 years ago.

I might even like her more than Kuznetsova.
