Tropika is a conscious initiative aims to promote mindfulness on inclusivity, sustainability and wellness through global music and arts. We hope that through our series of events, it will drive conversation and action on universal matters of social justice.Regardless of language, location, race and religion everybody should be entitled to equal access to health, wellbeing and opportunity. In that spirit, Tropika focuses on three areas of social justice which form the key themes of our events series; inclusivity, sustainability and wellness.
Inclusivity Even in diverse communities, inequality remains pervasive. People may occasionally face economic, political and social challenges as a result of discriminatory practices to misinformation, to name a few. By addressing topics such as encouraging tolerance and discrediting stereotypes, employment, equal rights for education, and immigration Tropika aims to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate in well informed decision-making processes.
Sustainability is a hot topic universally. Be it in relation to economic, environmental or social aspects, plenty of discussions and efforts are ongoing. In relation to climate change, and specifically the use of plastic, it is widely known that the future is not looking promising. Tropika believes in raising awareness and educating best practices so that communities can better work together towards creating long term sustainable living conditions.
Wellness as a concept is about more than just being free of illness. It relates to all imaginable aspects; emotional, mental, physical, social and spiritual. From food wellness to caring for the aging population, Tropika focuses on discouraging unethical modes of food production and exploitative distribution practices, and on ensuring stability and social mobility for future generations.
