It didn't matter how many times it happened. Seeing one of his movie posters up on a billboard always made Rex’s heart flutter. There was pride in his work, seeing the poster was the end of all the hard slog and the trips away. He gazed at it and then smiled at the person nearby. “ Would you see that at the movies? or Just wait for it on Netflix?” He asked looking briefly at them before looking back up at the poster.

Babies weren't something that Rex was that familiar with anymore. Granted he had children, but they were both adults now and he was content in the fact he had sown his seeds with Ella. He climbed into his Aston Martin and glanced down at his wedding ring which was still pride of place on his finger. He missed her every day but had learnt to live with grief. He made his way through silverlake to Jimmy’s place with a basket of baby things for the kids, his assistant had got the gift and now it was Rex’s job to deliver it to his friend. He knocked on the door and waited. When Rex saw Jimmy, he smiled and thrust the basket into his hand, his good deed done for the day. “ congratulations.” He smiled. “ Don’t ever make me do this again.” Rex chuckled and glanced down at the basket. “ I literally have no idea what is in there.”

“Don’t tell me you’re complaining about that!” Holly started with a shake of their head and a laugh. “You should never say no to free food. Never.” They’d learnt that as a youngster when they’d basically been brought up on nothing. “Alright, good…” They turned back to the person who was manning the stall and with a chuckle, said, “Well, you heard the man…”
Rex let out another laugh and shook his head. “Where I come from if they offer you free food there is a chance its been on the ground.” he joked and watched the person manning the stall make him a drink. He chuckled again as the person put a umbrella in the drink, “ Oh.. ok that looks.. unusual” He said with a smile as he was handed the unicorn dream. “cheers.”

So far Holly had been preoccupied working the Milk stall, spending a couple of hours serving waffles and ice-cream sandwiches, infectious smile on their face. As much as they were enjoying mingling and handing out food, though, it hadn’t given them much of a chance to enjoy the festivities yet. Thankfully, now approaching one o’clock, they could finally grab a break and take a look around. First stop was one of the neighbouring stalls to grab something to drink (something new hopefully). They’d downed half of the cup when they spotted someone walking by they recognised and flashed a smile. “Hey!” they called out. “You want one of these? My treat!”
Rex raised a brow at the blonde. “ Do I look starved? because you are the second person who has wanted to get me food and drink today.” Rex laughed and nodded. “ Sure, I’ll have the one that looks least like unicorn piss.”

“ hey hey !” brina greeted , practically bouncing up to the first person she saw on the street , sporting the face paint job she’d just gotten . “ so i need your help , and of course your help will be well compensated—in the form of me buying what you choose. what stalls should we hit first ? because i’m hungry , and i cannot decide for the life of me what food to get . whatever you help me choose to get is on me , sound like a sweet enough deal ?” she grinned .

Rex had sponsored one of the event stalls and was now trying to remember why the hell he had promised to show up. When the petite brunette appeared, Rex smiled. “ Oh I couldn't do that. Although there is a hog dog stall over there that is pretty good according to the two guys over there cramming them into each others mouths.”
