this is an independent and selective roleplaying blog for MICHAEL AFTON, based loosely off of the five nights at freddy’s series. given the current state of canon, this blog is almost entirely headcanon-reliant. i have no interest in book/comic canon and little to no interest in ongoing game canon; this is effectively a grandfathered-in character based very loosely on the first six games. and i am not a fan of scott cawthon. focusing on themes such as realistic suburban horror, the impact of child abuse ( link! ), different forms of haunting, sisyphean struggles, and codependency and conflicted feelings.

He doesn't say anything for a long time -- which is unusual, given that Michael always has something to say. His fingers are pressed to his forehead, not so much stemming the trickle of blood as diverting it so it doesn't run into his eye. He can hear someone screaming in the distance. The parent, maybe. A little thrill of anger runs through him ( even at his most exhausted, even in pain, there's always room for anger ): what do they have to scream about? The kid's fine. Michael made sure of that. He let Freddy nosedive onto his arm and break it in two places to keep that kid's skull intact.

"I mean, it's not the worst I've ever seen." And not the best, either! But he'd done this when he was a kid, hadn't he? Taken a whole roll of toilet paper and just... shredded it and left it on the toilet floor? He'd definitely done that. Right? It just proves a point, really: working customer service will straighten you out right quick. ( The adult equivalent of shredding some toilet roll is refusing to fold your laundry. It's about chaos, and the accumulation of mess. He hasn't folded his laundry in years; it's on an endless loop of washer-dryer-chair. )
