My progens had tert-twins. Terrible, terrible tert-twins.

I wasn’t too keen on the Venom Rogue set at first but then I realized I had the perfect lady to put it on. It’s like it was made for her.

“Snappers: Soft voices, barely speak above a quiet library voice.”

Now this here is Boulder, and Boulder is a boisterous dragon-Texan from dragon-Texas. A real good ol’ boy kind of guy. The kind of guy who slaps you on the back and treats you like his best friend even though you just met him two minutes ago. 

“Ridgebacks: No concept of volume control. Always shouting.”

This is Ghoul. Ghoul likes to pretend that he’s a ~secretive~ and ~mysterious~ Prince of Thieves. Ghoul does not shout. He speaks in a low, oily sort of voice. Every word is chosen as meticulously as the “trifling trinkets” he purveys. 

HOWEVER. Having said that.

It was an interesting choice to use the scene cuts/wipes that they did, but it worked. Because it’s Star Wars. I doubt you’d get away with that sort of cut in a modern movie, because it looks and feels dated - but using them in Star Wars TFA just felt right. 

It didn’t feel like a new movie, and I think that was a good choice - Star Wars is a fairy tale set on a cosmic stage, and to try to make it look like The Next Big Blockbuster would take away from the magic, so to speak. 

The originals were, in their day, amazing pieces of cinematography. But the special effects don’t hold up well to today’s special effects. So it was nice to see a blend of modern effects and older effects, and the inclusion of older effects went a long way in making the new Star Wars feel like a continuation of the originals.

IT IS DONE.

I’m thinking as far as clan lore goes, Circe isn’t actually a perma-baby like Quartz, but rather she’s like. A teacup Noc. Which is saying something, because Nocs are already the teacup dragons of Sornieth, so she’s like Alice in Wonderland levels of teacup. (I considered naming her Alice. I might actually get her a name-change scroll and rename her. I’m not sure.)
