ANYWAYS! Graves! Bai He. I've mentioned before how Macaque is the only parent Bai He has known. She doesnt remember any family before Macaque, with the small exception of whom she belives is her father. Whatever the case, and whatever information Macaque has- it has never been given to Bai He.

But if there is something Bai He is sure of, is this: Macaque is affraid of her. And despite what logic would indicate, she doesn't really believe that Macaque loves her, at lesst not all of her.

Their power !!!!

They are so angst potential!!!

And I KNOOOOOW Peng has a crush on Macaque!!! THEY ARE SO IN LOVE AUUGGHHH!!! Peng who would do anything for Macaque and Macaque who can’t reciprócate Peng’s feelings !!!

YES ITS THE COMBINATION OF THEIR DRAMA FOR ME UGHHHH.

Peng would rather die than actually admit they have a crush on Macaque, And Macaque is OBSSESED with Wukong.

At the point where Peng anf Macaque are the closest Macaque really doesnt have the freedom to date. And Idk If your comment is in relation to the Graves AU, but the comic page was for it sooooooo-

Im not Nice to Macaque in Graves. As it should be evident by now. But the time period while Wukong is trapped under the mountain is particularly awful for Macaque. For a number of reasons, a big part of it being that other kingdoms and a part of FFM population dont recognize Macaque as a legitimate spouse, therefore, with Wukong gone there is no legitimate Ruler.

This time period is where most of the Trabsphobia in the AU happens btw. Before Macaque comes out she was already known as Sun Wukong's right hand man. And marriage in Ancient history was very different than it is today. Its a social contact. One that simply wont make sense with a same sex couple even of the relationship itself is not the issue.

THAT IS TO SAY, Not everyone is accepting of Macaque's ruling, and her only card really is getting Wukong back. If she is seen giving up on the idea that Wukong is alive or worse, maybe getting too close to someone theres people in the kingdom that will object to that.

So in the hypothetic case Macaque had given up. If she at some point had belived Wukong was trully dead and had no salvation, she would still had to put the front for the kingdom and would not be able fall in love. She has the weight of her people on her shoulders and any closeness with who can be percived as a suitor will be seen as a betrayal of her king and her people.

Now Peng, is not nice either. Which is why I feel they would go so well together. They are a meaner 'Shoot first' 'I'll spit on your face if you annoy me' type on influence on Macaque that she simply does not get from Wukong. With Wukong, Macaque is a humbling force. She keeps Wukong grounded. HOWEVER, that doesnt happen with Peng. Peng is basically an ego boost. Peng is the poison, putting her on a pedestal because If Peng was ever to admit they have a crush is because they made sure Macaque was sat on an inflated ego only they could reach.

Wukong is atracted to Macaques kindness and intellect. Peng is attracted to her untapped potential. So each relationship brings somehing different, and neither works because at the end Macaque molds herself for both of them. So one relationship ends with the bird calling her a rat and a coward (And worst if you've read the graves fics) and in one she ends up dead.

Not Macaque's worst relationship in Graves, but she has a nack for having fucked relationships 😌🙏 .

ALSO THE GENDER THING- I cannot tell you enough how Peng Clocked Macaque's ass IMMEDIATEDLY. I like that of them.
