I think it would be fun if Feanor managed to keep himself alive a little longuer, enough at least for his grief-induced madness to wane a little, enough that the two of them can have normal conversations again but everything is still tense but theres hope for some for of reconciliation, and THEN he dies. I think that would be fun.

After the Girdle fell she very desperatly tried to keep her sons from doing an invasion, even going personally to Doriath to warn them, but alas the Second Kinslaying still happened.
